Nasty Beat for Nitsche

Level 15 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
Dominik Nitsche
Dominik Nitsche

Ivan Leow raised to 55,000 preflop and was called by Dominik Nitsche in the small blind. On the {A-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{7-Clubs} flop, Nitsche checked and called a bet of 80,000 with 201,000 behind.

The {Q-Hearts} fell on the turn and Nitsche checked, Leow moved all in and was called instantly.

Dominik Nitsche: {A-Clubs}{5-Clubs}
Ivan Leow: {Q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

The German was in prime shape to score yet another double up, but the {10-Spades} on the river improved Leow to two pair. A rather disgusted Nitsche left the table with an "of course" and the field was reduced to the last 13 hopefuls.

Nitsche Doubles Through Haxton

Level 15 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Down to his last 144,000 Dominik Nitsche moved all-in from UTG+1 and Isaac Haxton made the call from two seats over. The rest of the table bowed out and Nitsche waited with baited breath to see what his fate would be.

Dominik Nitsche: {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}
Isaac Haxton: {5-Hearts}{5-Clubs}

Things looked good for the German, and he maintained his lead on the {a-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} flop, improving to a set on the {8-Spades} turn to lock in the double, with the {6-Hearts} river completing the hand. Nitsche climbed to 316,000 while Haxton took a hit and dropped to 755,000.

Robl Busts

Level 15 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
Andrew Robl
Andrew Robl

Andrew Robl's Main Event is over, with the US pro moving all-in from under-the-gun for 105,000 and action folded around to Dietrich Fast in the small blind, Orpen folded the big blind and the cards were turned over.

Andrew Robl: {q-Clubs}{9-Spades}
Dietrich Fast: {a-Spades}{5-Diamonds}

Fast flopped two pair on the {6-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{a-Clubs} flop, making Robl's chances look bleak. The {6-Hearts} turn left him drawing dead with the {7-Spades} river completing the hand, and Robl's tournament and he hit the rail in 15th while Fast stacked up to 880,000.

Outer Table Action

Level 14 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Isaac Haxton jammed over the top of a raise to 125,000 by Ivan Leow and got through with it to recover some chips he had previously lost.

Then, Rui Cao raised to 43,000 and Ivan Leow called on the button. On the {K-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} flop, Cao checked and folded to a bet of 80,000 by Leow.

The next hand, a limped pot emerged between Dominik Nitsche in the small blind and Cao in the big blind. On the {K-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{J-Clubs} flop, Nitsche checked and called a bet worth20,000 by Cao before leading the {J-Diamonds} turn for 50,000. Cao called and the {Q-Diamonds} on the river paired the board for the second time. Nitsche checked and folded when Cao made it 105,000 to go.

Loeser Catches River to Double Through Haxton

Level 14 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

A big pot played out between Isaac Haxton and Manig Loeser that saw the latter take a big bite out of the former's stack.

We picked up the action on a flop of {8-Clubs}{10-Spades}{3-Hearts} with over 120,000 in bets, blinds and antes already in the pot just as Haxton checked the action over to Loeser, who bet out 55,000. Haxton (big blind) check-raised to 135,000 and Loeser made the call.

The {2-Clubs} turn saw Haxton take nearly the full 30-seconds before deciding that the right amount to bet was 300,000, which brought a shove of 768,000 from Loeser, with Haxton making an immediate call.

Manig Loeser: {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}
Isaac Haxton: {10-Diamonds}{8-Spades}

It was looking dicey for the German until the board paired on the {2-Hearts} river.

"Count up his chips, he wins the pot," sighed Haxton and the chunky pot was shipped Loeser's way, boosting him up to 2.1 million while Haxton dropped to 560,000.
