Yaqi Sun
Yaqi Sun

Over on the feature table, Yaqi Sun's Main Event has come to an end at the hands of Wai Chen Leong. Sun went from a big stack but took some hits and was running on fumes after doubling up Ivan Leow. While he had spun his stack up to 124,000 Sun could not climb higher and got the last of his chips in from the big blind against Wai Chen Leong.

Yaqi Sun: {4-Clubs}{2-Clubs}
Wai Chen Leong: {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades}

The board ran out {7-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} and the Chinese player hit the rail, while Leong stacked up to 656,000.

Leow Doubles Through Sun

Level 14 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

The feature table action is moving along at a brisk pace and Malaysia's Ivan Leow has not long earned himself a double up courtesy of Yaqi Sun.

It was Sun who opened the action with a raise to 45,000 from the button and action folded around to Leow in the big blind who re-raised to 105,000 in total. Sun made the call and it was heads-up to a flop of {6-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}.

Leow led out for 160,000 and Sun moved all-in for 556,000. With the action back on Leow he though it over and made the call.

Yaqi Sun: {9-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}
Ivan Loew: {j-Hearts}{7-Hearts}

The {9-Spades} turn gave Sun two pair but the {10-Spades} river saw Sun drop to just over 2 big blinds (47,000) while Leow climbed to 1.3m in chips.

Level 14 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Alan Sass
Alan Sass

Alan Sass made it 40,000 to go and faced a three-bet by table neighbor Peter Jetten to four-bet all in for around 450,000 and pick up an instant call from Jetten.

Alan Sass: {A-Spades}{J-Spades}
Peter Jetten: {J-Clubs}{J-Hearts}

Sass picked up a gutshot on the {5-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} flop and asked for a four, but instead the {10-Diamonds} turn and {K-Spades} river bricked off to reduce the field to the last 17.

The other table saw a button raise by Orpen Kisacikoglu and Stephen Chidwick came along from the big blind. On the {A-Clubs}{10-Spades}{4-Clubs} flop, Chidwick checked and called a bet of 33,000 by Kisacikoglu.

After the {10-Diamonds} turn both players checked and Chidwick check-called a bet of 65,000 on the {6-Diamonds} river. Kisacikoglu flashed a nine and Chidwick won the pot with the {K-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}.

Big Pot for Torbergsen

Level 13 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Marius Torbergsen raised from the hijack and subsequently four-bet to 340,000 in order to pick up a call from Andrew Robl on the button. The duo ended up checking through the {K-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{5-Spades} flop and the {9-Diamonds} turn. On the {4-Diamonds} river, Torbergsen bet 275,000 and Robl gave it some thought before calling.

Torbergsen rolled over {Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs} and that was good enough to win the big pot five minutes into the dinner break.

The 18 remaining Main Event players are on a 20-minute break. In other exciting news, action junkies looking for their high stakes poker fix can watch the upcoming live stream of the €1-million buy-in cash game that will be running from 1am local time.

With blinds set at €1,000/2,000 with the big blind posting an additional €2,000 ante, it looks set to be a sizable game and with players like Phil Ivey, Tom Dwan, Patrik Antonius, Rui Cao, Richard Yong and Paul Phua all set to play this is definitely one you don't want to miss.

Badziakouski Above Two Million

Level 13 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Some action from the outer two tables from just before the break:

Peter Jetten raised to 35,000 and was called by Mikita Badziakouski on the button and Steffen Sontheimer in the big blind. The {K-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop was checked by Sontheimer, Jetten made it 32,000 to go and both opponents called.

On the {K-Spades} turn all three players checked to the {9-Diamonds} river and Sontheimer bet 85,000. Jetten folded and Badziakouski let his shot clock run down to two seconds before announcing a raise to 250,000. Sontheimer folded and Badziakouski further increased his stack.
