Level 13 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Richard Yong
Richard Yong

The second champion of the Triton Super High Roller festival in Montenegro has been eliminated in quick succession on the outer tables.

In a battle of the blinds, Richard Yong fired three barrels on a board of {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{5-Clubs} and the shove on the river was called by Orpen Kisacikoglu. Yong turned over the {K-Hearts}{J-Spades} for a missed gutshot and Kisacikoglu showed {Q-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for the flush draw that got there.

There are only 18 players remaining and the redraw of the last two tables will take place once there are 16 hopefuls still in contention.

O'Dwyer Chips Up; Kenney Eliminated

Level 13 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Bryn Kenney
Bryn Kenney

In a big pot to the {7-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{2-Spades}{K-Diamonds} turn over on the feature table, Steve O'Dwyer bet big for 190,000 with the {7-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for two pair. Yaqi Sun called with {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts} and the {4-Diamonds} appeared on the river.

O'Dwyer moved all in for 1,285,000 and Sun folded.

Bryn Kenney moved all in for 250,000 soon after with the {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} and Chan Wai Leong reshoved from the hijack for 344,000 with the {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}.

The board came {J-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{6-Spades}{4-Spades}{3-Diamonds} and Kenney was already drawing dead on the turn to bow out.

Phil Ivey Eliminated by Steffen Sontheimer

Level 13 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Phil Ivey
Phil Ivey

On one of the two outer tables, Phil Ivey open-shoved from the cutoff for around 230,000 and Steffen Sontheimer snap-called in the big blind.

Phil Ivey: {Q-Hearts}{J-Clubs}
Steffen Sontheimer: {A-Hearts}{A-Spades}

The {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{J-Spades} flop gave Sontheimer top set while Ivey had a gutshot straight draw. Once the {J-Diamonds} fell on the turn, Ivey was left with just one out, the last jack in the deck, and the miracle never came with a blank {7-Hearts} on the river.

Stefan Schillhabel

The field has been reduced to the last 21 hopefuls after the elimination of Stefan Schillhabel on the outer tables. Schillhabel got it in wih the {A-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} and Stephen Chidwick in the small blind looked him up with the {K-Clubs}{J-Clubs}.

Chidwick took the lead on the {K-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} flop, and the {8-Diamonds} turn and {4-Hearts} river were both blanks to send Schillhabel to the rail.

Leow Takes from Sun

Level 13 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Yaqi Sun raised with the {5-Clubs}{4-Spades} and Ivan Leow called out of the big blind with the {K-Hearts}{6-Hearts}. On the {10-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{3-Clubs} flop, Leow check-raised from 27,000 to 75,000 and Sun called.

The {8-Hearts} appeared on the turn and Leow fired a bet of 107,000 and Sun called. On the {Q-Spades} river, Leow checked and Sun made it 93,000 to go. After some consideration, Leow called and claimed the pot with just a pair of sixes.

O’Dwyer Busts Dwan

Level 13 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Tom Dwan's Triton Suoer High Roller Main Event is over
Tom Dwan's Triton Suoer High Roller Main Event is over

Over on the feature table, a short-stacked Tom Dwan moved all-in for 266,000 from under-the-gun-plus-one and action folded around to Steve O’Dwyer on the button, who made the call to put Dwan at-risk.

Tom Dwan: {q-Hearts}{10-Spades}
Steve O’Dwyer: {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}

Dwan was behind and held a dominated hand, in short, it did not look good and did not improve on the {j-Spades}{5-Clubs}{j-Hearts} flop. The {4-Clubs} turn left Dwan drawing to the decks three remaining ten, and the {2-Clubs} river was not one of them. Dwan hit the rail while O’Dwyer climbed to 1.64 million, making him a contender for the chip lead.

Kenney Cracks Aces to Double

Level 13 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

The roller coaster ride of Bryn Kenney has continued as he just cracked the {A-Spades}{A-Clubs} of Orpen Kisacikoglu on the outer tables to remain in contention.

Kenney had raised to 35,000 and called a three-bet before getting the remainder of his stack in after the {J-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{3-Spades} flop. Kenney turned over the {9-Spades}{8-Spades} for a pair and a flush draw, and the {Q-Diamonds} turn even gave him a gutshot on top.

It was the {8-Hearts} on the river that improved the American to two pair and as a reward, he was moved over to the feature table after that one was left two players short.
