Leow Catapults Over Starting Stack

Level 3 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

The flop showed {j-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{6-Diamonds} and there was around 30,000 in the pot. Ivan Leow checked to Benjamin Wu who pushed in a bet of 15,000 and then check-raised to 65,000.

Wu called and the {5-Diamonds} landed as a turn card. Leow pushed in 62,000, Wu called and the {6-Spades} completed the board. Leow reached for chips and fired in a pot-sized bet of 250,000.

Wu used two of his time extension cards before he ultimately called the bet. Leow tabled {10-Hearts}{6-Spades} for a full house and Wu chucked his cards into the muck, sending the pot to the soaring Leow.

Kabrhel Wins Without Showdown

Level 3 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

On the turn, the board read {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{10-Spades} and Justin Bonomo checked from middle position. Dan Smith bet 58,000 in the hijack, Martin Kabrhel called from the cutoff, and Bonomo called as well.

The river was the {10-Diamonds} and Bonomo and Smith checked to Kabrhel, who bet 266,500. Bonomo folded quickly, but Smith stood up to get a better look at Kabrhel's stack. He then pondered for a short bit before folding as well to leave the pot to the Czech.

Three players saw an {a-Clubs}{9-Spades}{7-Hearts} flop together and Sam Trickett checked the big blind. Michael Soyza bet 12,000 in the cutoff, Jason Koon raised to 35,000 on the button, Trickett folded, and Soyza called. On the {8-Diamonds} turn, Soyza checked, Koon bet 55,000, and Soyza called.

The river brought the {8-Clubs} and Soyza checked. Koon settled on a bet of 230,000 and Soyza went deep in the tank, burning through three time extensions in the process. He seized up his neighbor, while Koon kept staring solemnly into the distance.

After using his third time extension, Soyza flicked in a call.

"Straight," announced Koon, who showed the winner with {j-Clubs}{10-Spades}. Soyza mucked and slipped to 661,000.

Petrangelo and Greenwood Collide Again With Big Pairs

Level 3 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Sam Greenwood raised to 9,500 with {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades} in the hijack and Danny Tang called with {3-Spades}{3-Clubs} on the button. Nick Petrangelo once again found aces and three-bet to a sizable 110,000 in the big blind with {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}. Greenwood called the reraise while Tang folded.

The flop was {q-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} and Petrangelo continued for 60,000, which Greenwood called. The {q-Clubs} paired the board on the turn and Petrangelo now bet 120,000, followed by another call from Greenwood. The Canadian had 341,000 behind after calling the turn.

The {10-Spades} on the river gave Petrangelo the winner and he thought for a bit before checking. Greenwood instantly checked behind and mucked when Petrangelo showed him the aces.

Tsoukernik Shows a Bluff

Level 3 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Leon Tsoukernik opened to 12,000 from the hijack, Winfred Yu called on the button and Paul Phua raised it up to 65,000. Tsoukernik was the only caller and the flop came down {k-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{7-Clubs}.

Phua check-called a bet of 90,000 from Tsoukernik and the {j-Clubs} fell as a turn card. Phua checked to Tsoukernik who bet 150,000 and Phua sent his hand into muck.

Tsoukernik said "It's a bluff," as he turned over {a-Hearts}{q-Spades} for ace-high. Phua shook his head and laughed as Tsoukernik stacked his newly acquired chips.
