Kristof Mato had seen his stack plummet ever since his previous table in the secondary area broke and he then jammed out of the small blind with the 8♦4♦ into the big blind of Nabil Cardoso. The latter called with the K♣J♦ and remained ahead on the Q♠5♠2♠9♠Q♥ runout.
Alan Zheng raised to 55,000 from an early position and William Jia called in the small blind. Yita Choong in the big blind jammed for 220,000 and Zheng folded while Jia called.

Seunghyun Michael Nam opened to 50,000 in early position and Victor Chong called from the next seat before Punnat Punsri three-bet to 165,000 in the cutoff. Tien Nguyen then four-bet to 500,000 in the big blind as Nam and Chong quickly got out of the way.
But Punsri wasn't done and five-bet all in for 1,500,000. Nguyen went in the tank and then folded to hold onto his stack of 1,200,000, shaking his head as he did so.
Gytis Lazauninkas raised to 65,000 and then faced the all-ins of no fewer than three players behind including Hao Wang, Jeremy Chan and Chen Hui after which he elected to fold.

The A♠4♣3♠2♦7♠ board gave Hui the best pair and the stacks were counted. Chan was all-in for 805,000 and Hui covered that by fewer than two big blinds to knock out two opponents.
First to act, Chengcai Pan made it 50,000 to go and then called the shove by Sosia Jiang for 250,000 two seats over.

The suited connectors of Pan made trips on the J♦9♠5♦9♦6♦ board and neither player held a diamond to knock out Jiang shy of making it to Day 2.
Ren Lin raised to 50,000 and Kuan Han Lee on the button three-bet to 160,000. Xiaotian Wang then jammed for 325,000 in the big blind and Lin folded, while Lee called.

Che-Lun Liu made it 40,000 to go preflop and James Mendoza called from the big blind to the 7♠7♥5♠ flop, on which Mendoza check-raised from 35,000 to 85,000 and was called.
Mendoza led the 6♥ turn for 130,000 and Liu raised to 300,000. The shove by Mendoza was called by Liu.

Liu needed to improve with his trips sevens but the 9♣ river was of no help.
Shaoshuai Li opened to 40,000 from early position and Jiaxian Pan called in the hijack before Timothy Chung three-bet to 150,000 on the button. Only Li called.
Li checked on the flop 5♦K♠5♥ and Chung bet 40,000. Li check-raised to 100,000 and Chung called. Li then bet 250,000 on the A♣ turn and Chung called.
The 7♣ river completed the board and Li checked. Chung moved all in and Li called off with a stack of 845,000. Chung could only show J♠J♥ as Li tabled A♥K♣ to win the pot with two pair.
