"Very, Very Lucky": Round 2 Goes to Voronin

Level 1 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Konstantin Voronin opened to 3,000 and Rowan Wong called behind him before Duc Tuan Tran three-bet to 15,000 on the button. Voronin called and Wong folded.

"Good luck," Tran said as he prepared for another battle against Voronin.

Voronin checked on the flop of QQ6 and goaded Tran by asking him to "check, check, check," something that brought laughs from his fellow Russian table mates Alexey Borokov and Artur Martirosian. Tran did not oblige and bet 15,000. Voronin quickly called.

Voronin checked on the 4 turn and Tran checked back, bringing a thumbs up from Voronin. Voronin then quickly bet 55,000 on the 8 river and Tran called just as quickly.

Voronin tabled 88 for a rivered full house, leading Tran to muck in defeat and mumble "very, very lucky."
