Quan Zhou opened to 3,000 from under the gun and Ehsan Amiri three-bet to 14,000 in the small blind. Zhou called.
Amiri continued for 8,000 on the flop of J♥A♠J♠ and Zhou called. Amiri then sized up to 17,000 on the 9♣ turn and Zhou laid it down.

Mike Watson made it 3,500 to go in the hijack and Rudy Halim opted to come along from the big blind. On the 9♠7♠3♣ flop, Halim check-called for 13,000 and checked again the 7♦ on the turn, Watson fired a second barrel for 18,000 and Halim called.
The 6♠ came on the river and Halim now bet 60,000 first to act. Watson raised to 225,000 for most of his covering stack and forced out Halim.
Felix Rabas had entered only a few minurtes ago and raised to 3,000 on the button, then called a three-bet to 16,000 by Long Cao in the next seat. On the K♣10♠2♥ flop, Cao led for 12,000 from the small blind and was called by Rabas. They headed to the J♠ turn on which Cao checked, Rabas now bet 50,000 and Cao called.
The A♣ on the river was checked by both and Cao won the pot of more than 100 big blinds with A♥K♦ for aces and kings.
Jieming Xu called an open raise to 3,000 by Timothy Chung and a call by Murly Manokharan while in the big blind and checked the 8♠6♥6♣ flop. Chung checked as well and Manokharan bet 6,000 for Xu to be the only caller. On the Q♣ turn, Xu check-raised from 10,000 to 35,000 and Manokharan came along to the A♦ river.
Xu fired a bet of 70,000 and was paid off to reveal the 8♣6♦ for a flopped full house.
Sam Ameen opened from under the gun and Batmunkh Unubukh called in the next seat as Rokas Asipauskas defended his big blind.
The flop of 6♥J♠Q♥ checked through and Asipauskas bet 10,000 on the 4♦ turn. Ameen called and Unubukh raised to 35,000. Only Asipauskas called.
Asipauskas checked on the 4♠ river and Unubukh bet 80,000. Asipauskas laid it down.

With now up to 87 entries on Day 1b, a brand new table opened with almost all entirely new players except for Konstantin Voronin with his towering stack.
Long Cao raised to 3,000 and Thomas Boivin three-bet to 12,000. It folded back to Cao and he four-bet to 40,000 to force out Boivin eventually.
Lingqiang Pang raised to 2,500 and Bohao Huang called. Yinan Zhou then three-bet to 11,500 in the cutoff and was called only by Pang. On the 7♥6♠3♥ flop, Pang opted to check-call for 18,000 and did so again for 45,000 on the 9♠ turn. The 8♣ river slowed down both players with the four-card straight on the board and they checked.
Pang was first to show and revealed the 4♥4♦, which won the pot.
Konstantin Voronin opened to 3,000 and Rowan Wong called behind him before Duc Tuan Tran three-bet to 15,000 on the button. Voronin called and Wong folded.
"Good luck," Tran said as he prepared for another battle against Voronin.
Voronin checked on the flop of Q♠Q♣6♥ and goaded Tran by asking him to "check, check, check," something that brought laughs from his fellow Russian table mates Alexey Borokov and Artur Martirosian. Tran did not oblige and bet 15,000. Voronin quickly called.
Voronin checked on the 4♥ turn and Tran checked back, bringing a thumbs up from Voronin. Voronin then quickly bet 55,000 on the 8♣ river and Tran called just as quickly.
Voronin tabled 8♥8♦ for a rivered full house, leading Tran to muck in defeat and mumble "very, very lucky."
