Foster Wins Big Pot Off Punsri

Level 16 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Dylan Foster
Dylan Foster

Punnat Punsri made it 90,000 to go and was called only by Dylan Foster in the big blind. On a J105 flop, Foster check-called for 50,000 and they checked the Q on the turn. The river brought the 5 and Foster bet 185,000.

Punsri raised big to 900,000 and was called to show the A5 for trips fives, unable to get Foster off the AQ for the ace-high flush.

Tom Fuchs jammed for 590,000 with the AQ and was looked up by Chang Hwan Lee with the superior kicker in AK. The 10553J board changed nothing and that spelled the end for Fuchs.

Two hands later, Daniel Dvoress was all-in with a shorter stack via three-bet shove and up against Ricky Li Qi Huang in the big blind while initial raiser Igor Yaroshevskyy folded.

Ricky Li Qi Huang: 99

Day 2 of Inaugural Triton ONE $8,000 Main Event Kicks Off At Noon

Triton One Feature Table
Triton One Feature Table

The first ever edition of the brand new mid-stakes poker tour Triton ONE has seen poker enthusiasts from all over the world come out in droves to the lavish Landing Casino inside of the five-star Jeju Shinhwa World complex and two of the marquee events produced stunning attendance figures. In the opening $3,000 QQPK Genesis, a total of 1,185 entries emerged and the flagship 2025 Triton ONE Jeju $8,000 Main Event saw 1,046 entries generated across two starting flights in the last two days.

With 15 levels each completed on the respective Day 1s, that figure has been cut down to only 218 survivors, all in the hopes of securing a slice of the massive $7,607,558 prize pool. The money bubble will be in sight with some 20 percent of the field still in the mix and the cards for the penultimate tournament day will be back in the air at noon local time. As of then, the level duration increases to 60 minutes each to give all contenders more wiggle room en route to make history on Jeju Island in South Korea.

Leading the way with a staggering 133 big blinds is Taiwan's Chih-Yuan Wang who returns at the top of the leaderboard with 5,305,000 in chips. Only one other player has more than 100 big blinds at their disposal when the action resumes and that is Konstantin Voronin, who went through the previous two tournament days like a wrecking ball. Voronin ultimately bagged up 4,725,000 in chips and China's Shaoshuai Li occupies the final spot on the podium with 3,835,000.

The field has been a very diverse mix of recreational poker players from the Asia-Pacific region, up and coming pros from nearby countries as well as seasoned pros from all over the world. They were joined by some of the biggest names in the world of high-stakes poker and it comes as no surprise that two of them will return inside of the top ten for Day 2. Punnat Punsri (2,940,000) and Jesse Lonis (2,910,000) are separated by fewer than one full big blind, widely considered as some of the most dangerous and hot-running prodigies throughout the last few years.

Triton Poker ambassador and former Ivan Leow Player of the Year winner Danny Tang also returns with a big stack of 2,510,000, which puts him on eleventh place on the leaderboard. The current ranking leader for Season 4, Artur Martirosian, likewise has plenty of chips at his disposal with 2,305,000.

Recent WSOP Main Event fourth place finisher Kenny Hallaert (2,010,000), former WSOP Europe Main Event runner-up Ting-Yi "Eric" Tsai (1,960,000), High Roller regular Ehsan Amiri (1,940,000), Igor Yaroshevskyy (1,750,000) and the always jovial Ren Lin (1,480,000) are just some of the big names with above-average stacks Aussie Joshua McCully returns with a healthy 1,440,000 in chips and has two runner-up finishes in Side Events to his name in the last two nights to further boost his already impressive resume in the Asia-Pacific region.

The action will resume in level 16 with blinds of 20,000-40,000 and a big blind ante of 40,000. As of Day 2, the level duration is 60 minutes each and the opening stages will showcase the race towards the money bubble. The payout information will be released once the cards are back in the air.

All participants as well as poker enthusiasts around the globe can follow the action in the comprehensive Triton Poker Plus app and the live-stream action on YouTube will be available as well on a delay of 30 minutes with cards-up coverage. On top of that, the PokerNews live reporting team will be on the floor to provide live updates until a winner has been crowned on Monday, September 8, 2025.
