Foxen Sails to Chip Lead
Level 9
: Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Nick Schulman raised to 12,000 from under the gun, and Alex Foxen called next to act. Gha Iakobishvili then three-bet to 64,000, one seat to Foxen's left. Schulman folded, but Foxen called again.
Foxen check-called on the 8♦9♣9♥ flop and the 4♠ turn, first when Iakobishvili bet 27,000, and then when he barreled the turn for 140,000.
The Q♥ completed the board, and Foxen checked again. Iakobishvili moved all-in for 322,000, and Foxen called.
Iakobishvili was bluffing with A♠5♠, but had run into the flopped boat of Foxen, who tabled 8♠8♣.
