Lee Takes from Ponakovs
Level 8
: Blinds 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
Aleksejs Ponakovs raised to 10,000 from under the gun, and Wai Kiat Lee defended his big blind.
Lee check-called when Ponakovs continued for 11,000 on a J♥5♠4♠ flop, and the 8♣ turn was then checked through.
Lee checked a third time on the 9♥ river, but called once more when Ponakovs bet 33,000.
Ponakovs tabled 6♥6♣, which lost out to the higher pair of Lee, who flipped over Q♠8♠.
