Davies Double Seizes Chip Lead
Level 9
: Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Eelis Parssinen raised to 13,000 from middle position, and Seth Davies called in the hijack. Jean-Noel Thorel then three-bet to 50,000 from the cutoff. Parssinen folded, but Davies called again.
Davies proceeded with a check-call on both the 4♥5♠J♠ flop and the 3♥ turn, calling 75,000 on the flop before calling again for 125,000 on the turn.
When the flush-completing 9♠ hit the river, Davies moved all-in for 219,000, and Thorel called.
It was bad news for Thorel, whose A♠J♣ had been rivered by the Q♠10♠ of Davies, seeing the latter seize the tournament chip lead.
