Matthias Eibinger opened to 400,000 in the hijack. Joao Simao three-bet to 1,300,000 in the small blind, prompting Eibinger to four-bet jam for 3,700,000. Simao wasted no time in calling.

Simao's kicker remained in play on the 8♣A♠Q♥9♥Q♠ runout. He knocked out Eibinger on the final table bubble and was crowned the new chipleader as he shipped the sizable pot.

Davies sized up to 1,200,000 on the 2♣ turn. Simao check-called again, seeing the K♠ complete the board on the river.
Both players checked it to showdown. Simao tabled 9♠8♦ for a pair, and it was enough to win the pot, as Davies had been barreling with Q♥J♠.
