Biao Ding raised to 450,000 in early position. Yang Wang flat-called as next to act, and Emilien Pitavy defended his big blind.
Pitavy checked the 6♥6♠4♦ flop, after which Ding continued for 425,000. Wang called, and Pitavy folded K♠J♠. Ding then slowed down and checked the 5♦ turn, prompting Wang to take the initiative and bet 1,025,000.
Ding called, seeing the 9♣ roll off on the river. After some time, both players checked it to showdown. Ding tabled 9♠9♦ for a rivered boat, and Wang mucked A♦10♦ to admit defeat.

Simao then fired a tiny 325,000 on the 3♥ river. After some thought, Wang tossed in a call. Simao revealed 9♦9♣, but Wang had the higher pair with A♠10♥ to rake in chips.

Davies considered his options, but ultimately folded the dominating hand to forfeit the pot.
Meanwhile, chipleader Joao Simao had won two previous hands to increase his lead over the rest of the table.
Eric Tsai open-shoved for 300,000 in the cutoff, and Biao Ding called in the small blind. Yang Wang defended his big blind, after which he and Ding checked through the entire K♦4♣10♠5♠A♥ board.
Tsai revealed Q♣7♣ for queen-high, but Wang and Ding both had pairs. Ding won the pot with J♥10♥ against Wang's 8♦5♣, eliminating Tsai in the process.
Yang Wang opened to 350,000 in early position. Eric Tsai was automatically all in for 50,000 in the small blind, and Joao Simao defended in the big blind.

After the 4♥9♣3♥ flop went check, check, Tsai bet 325,000 on the 5♦ turn. Simao called to the 10♦ river, where Tsai slid in a pot-sized bet of 1,500,000, almost his entire stack. Simao confirmed the amount before quickly calling.
Tsai tabled 8♠7♦ for a bluff. Simao had called with K♥9♥, and his pair of nines won him the sizable pot, leaving Tsai with just 50,000 to try and spin up.
Biao Ding raised Q♣J♦ to 300,000 in middle position. Yang Wang responded with a three-bet to 775,000 in the hijack with A♦Q♥, folding out Thomas Boivin's J♠J♥ in the cutoff.
Ding quickly returned his cards to the muck as well, and the first pot of the final table was sent Wang's way.
