Davies had shoved right into the preflop nuts, but he flopped a set on 8♥6♦J♣ for a massive lead. However, Ding remained calm and looked on as the A♠ turn gave him a higher set, leaving Davies with one out.

The final eight in the deck did not arrive on the K♥ river. Ding doubled up, overtaking Davies in the counts.

Seth Davies was in the small blind and four-bet jammed, quickly folding out Simao with A♣4♠. Boivin reluctantly called off his remaining chips, putting him at risk of elimination.

After a lot of pots had been decided preflop, Biao Ding raised to 550,000 under the gun. Joao Simao defended his big blind, and both players checked the 7♥6♦Q♣ flop.

Simao then fired 400,000 on the 9♠ turn, and Ding tossed in calling chips. The 3♣ river was then checked by both again, and Simao won the pot by tabling 10♠9♥ at showdown, his pair of nines besting Ding's 8♦8♣.
