"Everybody Loves a Chop Pot"

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Kully Sidhu
Kully Sidhu

Picking up the action on the {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{10-Spades} turn, Joe Hindry check-called a bet worth 5,100 by Kully Sidhu and then checked again the {3-Hearts} on the river. Sidhu bet 12,000 and Hindry check-raised to 25,500 for Sidhu to call. They chopped it up as the {k-Hearts}{6-Hearts} of Hindry and the {k-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} of Sidhu both made broadway.

"Everybody loves a chop pot," Eliran Argelazi joked.

Sheils Binks the River to Bust Plocki

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Brandon Sheils
Brandon Sheils

Maciej Plocki raised to 2,800 and Brandon Sheils then three-bet to 6,800 from one seat over. Plocki pushed for 33,800 and Sheils eyeballed the stack of his table neighbour for ten seconds before making the call.

Maciej Plocki: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Brandon Sheils: {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}

Nothing changed on the {10-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{5-Hearts} flop but the {q-Diamonds} turn gave Sheils some additional outs. He did get there with the {a-Spades} on the river and had Plocki covered by a small margin.

Updated Counts After Dinner

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Alexander Zeligman made "a few new friends" on his former table but also admitted that he ran pretty well. That being said, his new seat is strikingly similar to the one he occupied on Day 1a but with by far more chips at his disposal.

While the turbo heat has entered the fourth level, Day 1b has sent the remaining 155 players out of 293 entries into a scheduled 60-minute dinner break. The action will resume at approximately 8.39pm local time and the registration will be open for another two levels and following break.

Trotter More Than Doubles in Three-Way All-In

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

The cards were already on their backs as Keith Hoang was involved with a stack size of 29,600. He was covered by Paul Trotter, who had around 52,000 at his disposal but Tim Wright held the biggest stack to put two players at risk.

Keith Hoang: {q-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}
Paul Trotter: {3-Spades}{3-Diamonds}
Tim Wright: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}

The mighty pair held on the {10-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{5-Spades}{3-Hearts} board as Trotter rivered a full house for good measure, knocking out Hoang and doubling through Wright.

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Giulio Mascolo opened to 2,100 and his table neighbour three-bet to 6,100. Mascolo then pushed for 23,000 and his stack size was asked upon before the call followed.

Mascolo had the best of it with {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs} versus {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} and there was no upset on the {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} board.

Beuter Busts High Roller Champ O'Neill

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Jack O'Neill
Jack O'Neill

Jack O'Neill had been hovering just under or over the starting stack for a while and was just spotted on his way out of the tournament area. The cards were still tabled as his {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs} went down in flames, ending up second-best to the {j-Hearts}{j-Spades} of Patrick Beuter. On a board of {j-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{7-Hearts}, the jacks spiked a set to send O'Neill to the rail.

Mike Moore conceded the biggest stack on the table as Beuter is now ahead of him, the same also applies for Gabriel Ene from one seat over as well.
