Lee Among the Next Casualties

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Sam Grafton
Sam Grafton

Another table broke inside the first 60 minutes as three players bowed out in quick succession.

Among them was Jason Lee, who three-bet jammed on the button for 36,500 and was called by the initial raiser Sam Grafton.

Jason Lee: {j-Clubs}{6-Clubs}
Sam Grafton: {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}

The {a-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} flop left Lee in need of running cards and he got one of them on the {j-Diamonds} turn. However, the {8-Hearts} river was a blank and Grafton raked in the pot.

Donlan Busts; Wagner and Docherty Follow

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

In a battle of the shorter stacks, Matthew Donlan lost the remainder of his stack with {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} against the {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts} of David Docherty. The board ran out {j-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{3-Spades} and there was no help for the ace-queen.

Shortly after, Dan Wagner vanished from one table over. After his early double up, he then lost some chips before shipping all of it over by one seat as Mauricio Ferreira Pais was spotted raking in plenty of chips.

Fast forward back to Docherty's table, he defended the big blind and then got it in with the {q-Spades}{9-Spades} after the {9-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{5-Clubs} flop. Richard Essex had that crushed with the {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds} and the {6-Hearts} turn as well as the {8-Diamonds} river were no threat for the aces.

Gone, Goulder Gone

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Alex Goulder
Alex Goulder

Once upon a coin flip, there was a classic race between Alex Goulder with the {8-Spades}{8-Hearts} and Benjamin Lehrer with the {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}.

The latter's name translates to teacher in German and he gave a lesson in running good to Goulder on a board of {k-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{10-Clubs}{a-Clubs} to knock out the Brit.

Chiang Soars Above Half a Million

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Jen-Yue Chiang
Jen-Yue Chiang

As the all-in confrontations keep on coming, the first player leaped above half a million in chips and it is Jen-Yue Chiang who sits behind a large tower of chips. The latest showdown was a preflop all-in in which he was up against Tal Afek.

Tal Afek: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}
Jen-Yue Chiang: {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

The {10-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{3-Spades}{3-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} runout brought no help to Afek and he joined the early casualties on Day 2.

Allen Among the Next Casualties

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

The first batch of casualties included Sylvain Loosli and Kevin Allen, among others. For Allen, the end came in a preflop contest with {a-Clubs}{q-Spades} against the {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} of Vishal Maini. The {9-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{6-Clubs} board failed to improve Allen and the field was reduced to the final 120 players.

Pavlov Tank-Folds Against Sitbon

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

A medium-sized pot emerged between Julien Sitbon in the cutoff and Atanas Pavlov on the button. The turn showed {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} turn and Sitbon checked. Pavlov then bet 32,000 only for Sitbon to check-raise, making it 105,000 to go. That sent Pavlov deep into the tank but nobody called the clock on him, which he then inquired about himself.

The thirty seconds ran down and Pavlov's hand was dead, Sitbon had previously offered to show one card and revealed the {a-Spades}.

O'Neill Vanishes; Wagner Doubles

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Jack O'Neill
Jack O'Neill

Jack O'Neill was eliminated by Paul Simmons but had some slightly better news shortly thereafter as his £2,200 High Roller trophy was delivered to the poker room.

The next all-in showdown followed shortly after when Dan Wagner was at risk with the {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts}. Youness Barakat looked him up with the {a-Spades}{k-Clubs} and the {k-Diamonds} appeared in the window. However, the rest of the board ran out {j-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} and Wagner doubled with jacks full for 95,000.

Solomons Doubles Through Zervos

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Eirimas Tomkevicius raised to 7,000 from under the gun and Gary Solomons three-bet to 27,000 from two seats over. Alexios Zervos in the big blind then moved all-in and Tomkevicius folded while Solomons called all-in.

Gary Solomons: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}
Alexios Zervos: {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}

Solomons got excited when the first community card was the {6-Hearts} but it was followed by the {7-Clubs}{3-Spades}. However, the {a-Diamonds} fell on the turn and the {4-Hearts} river confirmed his double up for 85,000.

Kehoe First Casualty of the Day

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Stephen Kehoe
Stephen Kehoe

"Guess he was in a hurry," someone at the table said after Stephen Kehoe had literally busted in the first hand. The Irishman was all-in preflop with the {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs} and looked up by the even-stacked Efstathios Bantounos with the {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}. Neither player connected with the {q-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{9-Spades} and that spelled the end for Kehoe.
