Meli On the March, Wins Crucial Flip

Level 20 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Vincent Meli
Vincent Meli

Luke Hanson in middle position and defending champion Vincent Meli in the cutoff piled their chips into the middle preflop, which left the latter at risk for his stack of 440,000.

Vincent Meli: QQ All in
Luke Hanson: AK

Meli knows all too well that you need to win flips to run deep in tournaments, and he has quite a knack for doing it at Dusk Till Dawn as the runout of 372108 kept his pocket queens in the lead, which secured him a big double-up.

Sherwood Turns Broadway to Double Through Selvarajoo

Level 20 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Rob Sherwood
Rob Sherwood

Harriwin Selvarajoo opened from early position to 24,000 and the action folded around to Robert Sherwood in the small blind, who shoved for a little under 170,000. Selvarajoo was thinking for a while, but ultimately decided to call, which put Sherwood at risk.

Robert Sherwood: KQ All in
Harriwin Selvarajoo: 88

It was an all-too-familiar coinflip situation and Selvarajoo kept his advantage on the JA2 flop, but Sherwood did pick up a Broadway draw. That draw hit when the 10 dropped on the turn, which left Selvarajoo drawing dead. A meaningless 9 fell on the river, and Sherwood collected his new chips from the pot.

Ledden Makes the Right Laydown

Level 19 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
David Ledden
David Ledden

There were already around 150,000 chips in the middle on a board of K34 when Raefe Tucker checked from middle position and David Ledden bet 50,000 from the hijack. Tucker then put in a raise to 125,000, which Ledden called.

A 10 dropped on the turn, which completed the front door flush draw, and Tucker fired again for 125,000. Ledden called.

When the K paired the board on the river, Tucker grabbed a handful of green chips, worth 25,000 each, and threw in a bet of 225,000. Ledden immediately looked in distress and was in the tank for quite some time while he tried to piece together the puzzle. Eventually, Ledden folded and showed pocket aces, then Tucker revealed he had rivered trips with KQ.

Kamber Dispatches Todd

Level 19 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Alex Todd was seen getting up and walking away from his table, with his stack heading in the direction of Mor Kamber.

Todd was all-in from middle position with A9, and up against the 1010 of Kamber in the small blind.

Despite the board containing an ace, Todd was no good on the 5A1024 board as Kamber flopped a set.

Kashani Gets Two for the Price of One, Stacks Fellone & Magnan

Level 19 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Nicholas Fellone
Nicholas Fellone

Arian Kashani had two short-stacked opponents all-in and at risk.

Davide Magnan: KJ All in
Nicholas Fellone: KQ All in
Arian Kashani: A5

The board ran out low, coming 93675, which meant Kashani stacked two opponents in the same hand.

Quinn Lays the Trap, Dunyushin Bites

Level 19 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Edward Quinn
Edward Quinn

Sergey Dunyushin raised from early position to 20,000 and Edward Quinn called in the next seat. Steven Lewzey also came along from the big blind.

On the 5610 flop, Lewzey checked and Dunyushin continued for 55,000. Quinn then shoved for around 150,000, Lewzey folded, and Dunyushin called.

Edward Quinn: AA All in
Sergey Dunyushin: A10

Quinn had laid the trap and got the perfect flop for Dunyushin to stack off. An A on the turn sealed the hand in Quinn's favor, and the meaningless J filled out the board.
