Linus Sweeney Eliminated in 17th Place (£3,700)

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Sweeney - 17th Place
Sweeney - 17th Place

Josef Snejberg moved all in and got called by Linus Sweeney. It was Sweeney who was at risk.

Sweeney had {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} and was up against the {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} of Snejberg.

The board ran out {k-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}.

The king on the flop pushed Snejberg into the lead and he remained there to eliminate Sweeney.

Gavin Retakes the Lead

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Fintan Gavin opened to 26,000 preflop before David Hill made it 87,000 behind him. Gavin called to see a {J-Spades}{3-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} flop and check-called a 90,000 bet. The turn was the {2-Diamonds} and both players checked, the same pattern also occurred on the {8-Spades} river.

"Ahhh!" sighed Gavin, turning over {J-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} after Hill flipped {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}, hoping for another bet. The Irishman has retaken the chip lead.

Geilich Chipping Up Easily

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Ludovic Geilich
Ludovic Geilich

Ludovic Geilich is currently opening nearly every pot and as the big stack at the table it is proving to be a highly effective strategy. It any of the other players at his short-handed table wants to play back at him they are essentially doing it for their tournament lives.

Geilich is picking up the antes and blinds with barely any risk and is growing his stack steadily.

Heath Cram Eliminated in 18th Place (£3,360)

Heath Cram
Heath Cram

Heath Cram reraised all in for around 100,000 over the top of Fintan Gavin's initial 20,000 raise. Gavin weighed up the numbers and then made the call.

Cram: {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Gavin: {A-Spades}{8-Spades}

The board ran out {5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{J-Hearts}{6-Clubs} teasing a straight draw for Cram on the turn but it ultimately came to nothing.

Nick Smith Eliminated in 19th Place (£3,360)

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Nick Smith - 19th Place
Nick Smith - 19th Place

David Hill opened the action and when Nick Smith moved all in Hill had enough chips to quickly make the call.

Smith had the {k-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} and as so often in these spots he was in a race against the {5-Spades}{5-Diamonds} of Hill.

The dealer dealt his fate and a final board of {4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} saw no paint and Smith’s chisp slid over to Hill and he hit the rail.
