Smit Trivedi Eliminated in 20th Place (£3,370)

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Smit Trivedi - 20th Place
Smit Trivedi - 20th Place

Smit Trivedi opened the action, Josh Hart three-bet and when Trivedi shoved Hart called it off.

Cards exposed and Trivedi showed {4-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} against the {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts} of Hart.

A final board of {2-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{10-Clubs}{5-Hearts} saw a better two pair for Hart and a rather cruel way to exit, but exit he must in 20th place.

Heaney: {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}
Wagner: {J-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}

The board came {Q-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{3-Spades}{Q-Spades}{8-Diamonds} and Heaney doubled up. Wagner was left with just 2,000 and he was eliminated in the next hand when his {J-Clubs}{2-Hearts} couldn't beat Rowsome's {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}.

Donatas Didika - 23rd Place
Donatas Didika - 23rd Place

Donatas Didika open shoved from the button for just under 100,000 and Christopher Corkhill in the small bind re-shoed to isolate. The big blind did indeed get out of the way and the cards were on their backs.

Didika tabled the {k-Diamonds}{3-Spades} and needed a bit of help from the dealer as he was facing the {a-Spades}{7-Spades} of Corkhill.

The cards hit the felt and the resulting {j-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{4-Spades} bricked out for Didika and he was off to the pay-out desk.

Thomas van Veelen - 30th Place

Thomas Ward opened for 16,000 and Thomas van Veelen moved his last six big blinds across the line from the big blind. Ward looked him up with {a-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} and was up against van Veelen’s {5-Clubs}{5-Spades}.

The cards fell {9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{3-Spades}{a-Diamonds} and it was the river, as it so often seems to be, that dealt the final blow to van Veelen and he was out first after the re-draw.

Trivedi Doubles Up Through Adeniya

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

A much-needed double up for Smit Trivedi, who was all in with {A-Spades}{A-Clubs} against Martins Adeniya's {6-Spades}{6-Clubs}. The board came {8-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} and Trivedi moved up to 230,000. Adeniya was knocked back down to 340,000.

Thin Value For Hill

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
David Hill
David Hill

David Hill is remaining active and using his stack to good effect. Hill was in the small blind and called a preflop raise from Thomas van Veelen on the button for 18,000 and they went to a flop of {5-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{9-Clubs}. Both players checked to see the turn card {5-Clubs}.

Hill led out for 18,000 and van Veelen made the call. The river was the {q-Spades} and Hill made another bet for 24,000. Van Veelen blew out his cheeks, looked around at the tournament clock and took a couple of minutes before he made the call.

“I’ve got a jack.” Hill said turning over {j-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}. That was good enough as van Veelen mucked his hand.

Martins Adeniya
Martins Adeniya

David Hill opened the action for 17,000 and Josh Hart made the call. Martins Adeniya was closing the action in the big blind and he opted to three-bet squeeze to 58,000.

Hill got out of the way pretty quickly and Hart asked for a call. After some thought Hart decided to give Adeniya the benefit of the doubt and let his hand go.
