Koop Busts Avram and Baltus

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
David Baltus
David Baltus

Niko Koop raised and then faced the all in of Bogdan Adrian Avram for 51,000 as well as the reshove of David Baltus for slightly more from one seat over. The start-of-the-day chip leader quickly called and put both players at risk:

Koop: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}
Avram: {K-Clubs}{A-Hearts}
Baltus: {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}

The flop {Q-Clubs}{K-Spades}{A-Diamonds} provided both over cards for Avram but Koop had also made a set while Baltus was already on his way out. Both the {2-Diamonds} turn and the {J-Hearts} river blanked and that sent Avram and Baltus to the rail. They were joined by Jonny Domstedt, who busted at the same time on another table and took 32nd place.

De Wijs First Player Out in the Money

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Niels de Wijs
Niels de Wijs

David Janssen had previously doubled with {10-Hearts}{3-Hearts} and now again with {9-}{4-} before Niels de Wijs shoved all in for around 60,000. Marco Herman called and it was a flip for the Dutchman:

De Wijs: {7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}
Herman: {K-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}

The flop {9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{3-Spades} immediately improved the hand of Herman and he held up with the {4-Clubs} turn and {Q-Hearts} river filling up the board.

Another player busted shortly after on the feature table and the field was reduced to 34 hopefuls.

Mihai Ani Leon Bubbles

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Mihai Ani Leon Bubble Boy
Mihai Ani Leon Bubble Boy

The action folded to Mihai Ani Leon in the hijack and he moved all in for exactly 10 big blinds. Alexander Beeckx called from the cutoff and all other players folded. Once all the other tables finished their action, a classic race took place.

Beeckx: {A-Spades}{K-Spades}
Leon: {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}

The flop came {7-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{6-Clubs} and Beeckx took the lead. On the {3-Hearts} turn, Leon picked up a flush draw, but the {J-Spades} river was a blank to let the bubble burst.

Lightart Working on a Miracle

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

For only 6,000 chips, Ramon Ligthart was all in from the small blind and Koen Lauwereys could not even fold anymore.

Ligthart: {K-Hearts}{9-Clubs}
Lauwereys: {6-Diamonds}{4-Spades}

The board ran out {J-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{2-Spades}{7-Clubs}{J-Spades} and hand for hand mode continued.

Sybrandi Takes the Lead

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Hans Sybrandi
Hans Sybrandi

Micael Emanuelsson and Hans Sybrandi battled in a big pot with a {7-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{2-} flop where the Dutchman got his stack in with {8-Clubs}{6-Clubs}. Emanuelsson had pushed with {K-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for the higher flush draw, but Sybrandi found a six on the turn to double up in the previous level still.

Then, Sybrandi also got three streets of value out of his {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts} on a board of {3-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{J-Hearts} and jumped into the lead.

Gukov Doubles on the Bubble

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Dmytro Gukov moved all in for 36,000 from early position and Erik Loschan tank-called out of the big blind as last table still active.

Loschan: {9-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}
Gukov: {J-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}

The board ran out {2-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{8-Spades}{5-Diamonds} and Gukov doubled.

Avram Doesn't Double

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

The action folded to Niko Koop on the button and he moved all in to push Bogdan Adrian Avram and David Baltus at risk. Avram called with the {A-Spades}{K-Hearts} and Koop had {A-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} in his second attempt to let the bubble burst.

However, the board ran out {J-Spades}{10-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{Q-Clubs} and they chopped it.

Baltus Survives Double in Crazy Run Out

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

David Baltus moved all in for a mere five big blinds from early position and Niko Koop called out of the big blind. All other tables had to finish their action first and Koop then said "he is probably ahead."

Baltus: {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}
Koop: {A-Hearts}{10-Clubs}

The flop came {Q-Spades}{10-Hearts}{10-Spades} and the table and players nearby erupted. The {4-Diamonds} turn was a blank, but sure enough the {A-Diamonds} appeared on the river to save Baltus, for now.

Koop Pays off Herman

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

On a flop of {5-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}, Niko Koop fired a bet of 22l000 after Marco Herman had checked to him and the Dutchman called. On the {K-Clubs} turn, Herman then check-raised from 32,000 to 70,000 and Koop quickly called before the {K-Spades} fell on the river.

Herman bet 45,000 and Koop sighed, then said "okay I pay you off." Herman was not so sure about that and flipped over {J-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}, which was indeed good enough to win the pot.
