Sidark Doubles Through Beukers

Level 2 : 100/200, 25 ante

A big pot was brewing over on the table of Amanda Sidark, who bet 5,000 into a pot of almost 20,000 with the completed board showing {9-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}. Her sole opponent was Adriaan Beukers and the Dutchman raised it up to 20,000, which had Sidark's remaining stack covered.

Sidark contemplated about her decision for half a minute and called all in for 16,475. Beukers shook his head and sheepishly flashed the {5-Hearts} followed by the {K-Hearts}, and Sidark doubled with {Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} for queens and nines.

Day 2 of the €2,200 High Roller has kicked off at the same time as Day 1a of the Main Event and Unibet Poker ambassador Dara O'Kearney topped the counts of the 17 Day 1 survivors out of a field of 22 entries. The registration remained open and the field has since grown to 29 entries, of which 13 remain.

Among those to bust on Day 2 thus far were 2018 World Series of Poker Europe Main Event champion Jack Sinclair, the Unibet Poker ambassadors David Lappin and Espen Uhlen Jorstad, as well as Adrian Nica, Jean-Serge Baril and Michael Mazilu.

Another event that just restarted is the €330 Unibet Deepstack Open that featured a total of 155 entries, of which only 23 advanced to Day 2. Unibet Poker ambassador and Unibet Open champion Dan Murariu busted soon after the action recommenced, while fellow ambassador Fredrik Bergmann is still in contention. Heikkila Doubles Through Muto

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante
Katsuhiro Muto
Katsuhiro Muto

On a flop of {7-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}, Katsuhiro Muto and Markus Heikkila invested 1,500 each to see the {J-Hearts} on the turn and Muto checked over to Heikkila. The Swede made it 4,000 to go and Muto gave it some thought before moving all in, Heikkila snap-called.

Markus Heikkila: {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}
Katsuhiro Muto: {J-Spades}{10-Spades}

Heikkila was already secured the double up even before the meaningless {3-Clubs} appeared on the river and he doubled his remaining 15,725 to leave Muto on around one third of the starting stack.

Hladik Caught Bluffing

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

Charlotte van Brabander has started well into Day 1a and increased her stack. On the same table, Jorma Vuoksenmaa just secured a very healthy pot to go beyond van Brabander in the overall counts.

The Unibet Open regular from Finland defended his big blind against a raise by Michel Hladik in the cutoff and the duo checked the {J-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} flop. On the {A-Clubs} turn, Vuoksenmaa bet 650 and Hladik raised to 2,100, which Vuoksenmaa called. The {4-Clubs} fell on the river and Vuoksenmaa checked once more, which prompted a bet of 6,000 by Hladik.

Vuoksenmaa gave it some consideration and called, and Hladik reluctantly showed his cards as he was caught bluffing with {K-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for a busted flushdraw and gutshot. Vuoksenmaa held {A-Spades}{9-Clubs} for two pair, aces and nines, and won the first big pot of the day.

Olarescu Takes From Klassen

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

What started as a limped pot turned into quite some action over on table 10 that also features Nicholas Newport and Daiva Byrne.

Ricardo Klassen had limped on the button and Newport filled up from the small blind, Raul Olarescu then raised in the big blind and was called only by Klassen. On the {10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} turn, Olarescu bet 1,500 and Klassen raised it up to 3,600, which Olarescu called. They both checked the {J-Spades} on the river and Olarescu turned over {J-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} for a set of jacks on a four-card straight board.

Klassen grinned and briefly showed the case jack with the {J-Clubs} before sending his cards into the muck.

Nicholas Newport, who already has two six-figure scores to his name, is among the local Irish players that take a shot at glory in the final Main Event of the Unibet Open Season 11.

Dohany Chips Up

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

On the tail end of a board that showed {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}, Gilles Segers in the big blind bet 725 out of the big blind with the pot at around 1,000. His sole opponent was Kalman Dohany and he opted to raise to 1,750 from middle position. Segers gave it some thought and called, but mucked when Dohany showed {K-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} for the nut straight.

Dohany lost some of his profit shortly after when he paid off a bet of 600 by Matija Bicanic on an ace-high board. Bicanic held {A-Clubs}{2-Clubs} for turned two pair and Dohany mucked the {A-Spades} for top pair.

Mateusz Moolhuizen
Mateusz Moolhuizen

Mateusz Moolhuizen raised from the cutoff and picked up one caller in Harry Wals from one seat over on the button. The duo headed to a {J-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{7-Spades} flop, on which both checked. On the {J-Hearts} turn, Moolhuizen checked and called a bet of 350 by Wals before doing so again for 650 on the {A-Hearts} river.

Wals revealed the {A-Spades}{3-Hearts} for aces and jacks, which Moolhuizen had beat with {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds} for the superior kicker.
