Vanhanen Chips Up on the Bubble

Level 14 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

On the tail end of a board {Q-Spades}{7-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{3-Spades}, Bhavin Khatri faced a bet of 35,500 by Jussi Vanhanen and called to see the Finn roll over {6-Hearts}{4-Hearts} for a rivered straight to bump his stack above half a million.

Hand-for-Hand Mode

Level 14 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

One player busted over on the feature table and you can see what happened in some 25 minutes from now. The field has been reduced to 48 players and a table broke to get six tables of eight players each on the money bubble with hand-for-hand mode getting underway momentarily.

Down to 49 Players

Level 14 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Three players were all in and at risk at different tables. Juan Ares Gozalo doubled through Orestis Kanakopoulos while Markus Heikkila and Aaron Woodcock both busted.

Heikkila shoved for around 40,000 with {A-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} and Thomas Cazayous in the small blind called with {6-Clubs}{6-Hearts}, the board came {9-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{10-Hearts}{5-Spades} and the Swede was gone.

Aaron Woodcock was all in with the {3-Clubs}{3-Spades} and John Wind called from one seat over with the {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}. "Please fan it slowly," Woodcock said and the {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} flop left him drawing to a miracle with running treys only. It was all over on the {Q-Clubs} turn and the {J-Diamonds} river was a formality.

Cazayous Chips Up

Level 14 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Thomas Cazayous defended his big blind against a button raise by Nicolas Proust and the action went to the {Q-Spades}{5-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{7-Spades} turn. Cazayous checked and called a bet of 24,000. On the {A-Spades} river, Cazayous checked and called Proust bet of 34,000 to see Proust turn over a bluff with the {K-Clubs}{10-Clubs}. Cazayous had that beat with {Q-Diamonds}{8-Spades} and won the pot.

Jiang Above Half a Million

Level 13 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

On a flop of {9-Spades}{6-Clubs}{3-Clubs}, Jonas Ketelsen bet 13,000 in late position and Honglin Jiang on the button raised to 40,000, which Ketelsen called.

The {Q-Spades} turn was checked through and the {8-Hearts} river brought a bet of 36,000 by Ketelsen. Jiang called and was shown {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds} for a pair of aces, with Jiang had beat with {9-Hearts}{6-Hearts} for flopped two pair.

Le Goff Wins a Flip

Level 13 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

With 51 players remaining and the top 47 spots paid the money bubble is looming towards the end of the second level of the day already.

Erik Le Goff took a flip with {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds} out of the small blind against the {6-Clubs}{6-Hearts} of Yngve Steen on the button and the board ran out {A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{9-Clubs} to let the Frenchman double.

A Double for Schuman

Level 13 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Jonathan Schuman was all in and at risk before the flop for some 15 big blinds with the {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds} and Day 1a chip leader Clement Tripodi looked him up from one seat over with the {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}.

There would be no sweat on the board of {9-Spades}{8-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} as Schuman locked up the double on the turn already.
