There's already been 113 entries in the UDSO Marrakech Main Event, but there's just 111 players in the field as two players fell in Level 1.
Tazi was unable to spin up his stack following his earlier confrontation with Ismail Fath-Eddine. Karim Akib was the other player to hit the rail early.
Jaber Zerioh opened to 700 from early position, and was called by Hugo Blondel from the next seat over. Nicolas Chronis, Olivier Paris and Loic Lecharny came along from the button and the blinds.
Zerioh continued for 1,300 on the K♦Q♠7♥ flop. This only pushed out Lecharny. However, Zerioh's 8,000 bet on the 8♣ turn earned him the pot.
Manuel Alvarez opened to 800 from early position, and Benjamin Hammann immediately three-bet to 2,000 from the next seat over. However, his aggression was bested by Alvaro Ramajo, who made it 5,200 from the hijack. Alvarez and Hammann quickly folded.
Alvarez raised to 800 again on the next deal, and Hamman continued to make it 2,000. There was no four-bet this time as Nicolas Chronis called from the small blind before Alvarez stuck around.
Chronis and Alvarez called a bet of 1,400 on the 10♥9♠4♦ flop before the 2♠ turn and 7♣ river checked through to showdown.
Chronis had a huge hand in AxKx but his cautious possibly cost him the pot as Alavrez had a pair of nines with A♦9♦. Hammann couldn't beat either hand and mucked.
Habib Berdaii limped in from under the gun. There were several other limpers such as Thami Khettam, Abdelghani Bagas, Ludovic Amblard, and Franck Delval. Bogdan Vulcan, was in the big blind, and tried to thin the field by making 2,300. Khettam, in early position, was the only caller.
The Q♠9♦7♥ flop checked through oto the 5♦ turn. Vulcan bet 1,600 but faced a raised to 3,700. He called.
Vulcan then check-folded to a bet of 6,100 on the K♣ river.
Jaeck Yann raised to 900 from under the gun and was called by Martial Blangenwitsch from the next seat over. Georges Forge made it 2,300 from middle position. Cristina Jugastru, jacques Mauron, Eric Apikan and Yann all called before Blangenwitsch jammed for 25,900. It folded to Mauron, who called, and the rest of the players got out of the way, with Yann showing the A♣ before folding.
Martial Blangenwitsch: 6♠6♦
Jacques Mauron: J♠J♣
Yann would've made top pair on the A♥8♠2♣ flop, but luckily for him he was made to feel better about his folder after Mauron made a set of jacks on the J♦ turn. The 3♥ completed the board for Blangenwitsch to be sent out of the tournament.
Anas Tadini raised to 1,200 from early position and was called by four other players.
On the J♣9♠2♥ flop, Luc Alves checked from the small blind and UDSO High Roller champ Isabel Baltazar led out for 2,800 from the big blind. Tadini called before Azaal El Yamani folded from middle position. Patrick Frew called from the button and Alves also stuck around.
Baltazar fired out another 4,000 on the K♠ turn. Frew was the only player to fold.
A third barrel of 16,000 came from the High Roller winner, but both of her opponents folded.
All three players showed their cards anyway. Baltazar had the nuts with Qx10x, while Alves missed his flush with his A♠Q♠. Tadini made a disciplined laydown, and folded a set as he showed 2x2x.
