Ismael Slaoui limped in from early position and Hafid Alaoui did the same from the next seat over. Azeddine Chamma then raised to 8,000 from late position and was called by both players.

The 5♦3♠2♥ flop checked through to the 9♥ turn. Slaoui led out for 7,000 and Chamma was the only caller.

Slaoui put in 15,000 on the 8♣ river and was snap-called. Slaoui immediately tapped the table to concede the pot but still tabled his Ax7x. Chamma had the winner with a pair of nines as he showed down K♠9♠.

Isabel Baltazar limped in from under the gun, and the aciton folded to Mikhael Bakharev. He made it 10,000 from the cutoff. The button and the blinds got out of the way before Baltazar called.

The action checked to the river for the board to show 6♥5♣3♠Q♦A♦. Baltazar led out for 15,000 and the table started laughing when Bakharev didn't snap-call.

Kelevra announced that he'd be getting Bakhavrev's stack in the next five hands, while the latter mulled over his options. The clock was eventually called, and Bakharev failed to make a decision as the countdown hit zero and his hand was dead.

The biggest hand of the festival just transpired in the dying embers of Day 1c, with two chip leaders clashing.

Sebastien Guinand opened to 5,000 from under the gun and called when Patrick Bornicke three-bet to 14,000.

Guinand check-raised to 50,000 over a bet of 15,000 on the J♠5♣4♥ flop, and Bornicke called as the tension started to brew.

Guinand fired out another 100,000 on the 7♦ turn and snap-called when Bornicke jammed for around 540,000. Guinand had Bornicke covered by a few chips.
