Argence Bests Van Der Werf Again

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Camiel Van Der Werf opened to 3,000 from early position. Two seats to his left, Yoan Argence put in a three-bet to 7,000. Action folded back to Van Der Werf, and he stuck in a call.

The 8♣4♥Q♠ flop checked through, bringing in the J♥ on the turn. Van Der Werf checked again, before calling a bet of 6,000 from his opponent.

He then led out upon seeing the 7♠ river, choosing 7,000 as his sizing. Argence wasted no time in making it 26,000 to go, and Van Der Werf tank-folded.

Omar Lakhdari: A♥Q♠

The 3♦4♥2♦6♦2♥ flop came extremely clean for Lakhdari, as he sent his opponent away.

Pollet Pipped By One

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Action was picked up in a hand between small blind Fermin Lopez and big blind Christophe Pollet.

Maciej Podsiadlo: K♣K♠ All in
Michael Gabbay: Q♦Q♠ All in
Richard Gonzalez: 9♦9♥

It was a sweaty runout for Podsiadlo, with the J♠2♦6♠ flop giving both opponents flush draws. However, he found a way to hold on the 2♠10♠ runout, as nobody was eliminated.

Mairesse Can't Believe It, Foucault Chip Leading

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Action was picked up with post-flop fireworks taking place.

Three players had contributed to the pot of 9,000, and the 9♠7♣5♠ flop was dealt. Small blind Jerome Mairesse checked, and David Foucault did the same from late position. Button player Karem Laouini then slid 8,000 in the middle, and Mairesse check-raised to 24,000. Foucault called the raise, but Laouini did not.

The 3♦ turn didn't see Mairesse slow down, as he fired out another bet, this time slighty downsizing to 23,500. Foucault called again to see the A♠ river.

Mairesse picked up his final 40,000 in chips, and moved them forwards. Before they even touched the felt, Foucault had already slammed down a call, beating his opponent into the pot, and tabling J♠8♠ for a flush.

Mairesse's flopped set had been bested, as his 7♦7♠ hit the muck. He had some very choice words for his opponent, the gist being that he had gotten very lucky.

"Any ten, any five, any spade" responded Foucault.

Karim Lets Top Pair Go

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Action was caught on a flop of J♥7♦10♠ with 11,500 in the middle. Small blind Bergui93 bet out for 3,000, and big blind Ronald made the call. To Ronald's left, under the gun player Karim bumped it up to 11,000.

Bergui93 thought for some time before announcing "all in," covering both opponents. Ronald got out of the way quickly, but Karim was less happy to see his cards leave. Eventually, he folded, showing the J♦ face up.
