Osborne Gets Paid Off

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

In a four-way limped pot, the flop came {k-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{4-Spades} and the action checked around to the {3-Clubs} on the turn. The blinds checked again and Phil Osborne tossed in a bet of 25,000 from the hijack. Michael Simpson called in the cutoff and Juan Lozano called in the small blind.

The river was the {q-Clubs} and Lozano checked again. Osborne stuck in a bet of 75,000 and Simpson tank-folded. Lozano, on the other hand, asked for a count and paid off the bet. Osborne turned over {7-Clubs}{6-Clubs} for a flush and Lozano sent his cards to the muck.

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Kramer Copp
Kramer Copp

Kramer Copp shoved all in for his last 143,000 in middle position and Will Pengelly flat-called from the button. The blinds folded and the two hands were tabled.

Pengelly showed {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs} and was up against the {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs} of Kopp. The board ran out {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{q-Spades}{j-Diamonds} giving Kopp the pair of jacks he needed on the river to stay alive.

Brian Green Eliminates Freedman

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Wendy Freedman
Wendy Freedman

On a board of {a-Hearts}{10-Spades}{10-Hearts}{Q-}, Wendy Freedman checked in the big blind and Jeff Banghart bet 60,000 in the hijack. Brian Green called on the button and Freedman shoved for 291,000.

"F***," Banghart muttered as he folded. "Every f****** time."

Green, though, splashed in a snap-called and rolled over {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for a boat. Freedman was drawing dead with {k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} and hit the rail in 26th.

Eskandar Back to Crumbs

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 3,000 ante

After a series of preflop raises, Patrick Eskandar and Ekrem Bozkurt got all of their chips in the middle with two premium hands. Bozkurt was the player at risk for 380,000 in the classic coin flip.

Ekrem Bozkurt: {q-}{q-}
Patrick Eskandar: {a-}{k-}

The board ran out jack-high and Bozkurt's queens held on for a huge double up. Eskandar was down to just 22,000 after the hand but managed to survive another all in in the next hand.

Chip Counts from Table 47

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 3,000 ante

Bray Swaps Stacks with Cervantes

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 3,000 ante

Matthew Bray opened to 43,000 from middle position and Salvador Cervantes three-bet to 130,000 in the cutoff. The action folded back to Bray who four-bet shoved all in for 648,000. Cervantes asked for a count and went into the tank for a moment before making the call.

Matthew Bray: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Salvador Cervantes: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}

It was a classic coin flip for heaps of chips and Bray's tournament life was on the line. The flop came {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{9-Hearts} giving Bray the best hand with two pair. The {k-Spades} on the turn meant Cervantes was drawing dead to the {a-Spades} on the river.

Green Shies Away from a Third Bullet

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 3,000 ante

The action folded to Michael Simpson on the button who raised it up to 50,000. Brian Green defended from the big blind and the flop fell {j-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{2-Clubs}. Green led out for 31,000 and Simpson called to see the {q-Clubs} on the turn.

Green announced another bet of 65,000 and Simpson wasn't fazed, making a quick call. The river was the {j-Spades} and Green opted to check this time. Simpson checked back and tabled {k-Spades}{q-Hearts} for two pair. That was good enough to earn him the pot as Green sent his cards to the muck.

"You know, ten years ago Brian Green wouldn't have been scared to fire a third bullet there," he turned around to say. "I'm too old now."
