Rust and Lynch Tangle Again

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Brandon Rust checked a {4-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{8-Spades} flop from the big blind, and Mstr Lynch bet 2,300 into a pot of 8,000 on the button. Rust woke up with a check-raise to 5,300, and Lynch called.

Rust bet 15,000 once the {9-Clubs} hit the turn. Lynch went into the tank for a minute, then asked, "You got twenty-five k behind?"

"Twenty-two three," Rust responded.

Lynch thought for a few more moments, then said, "Good bluff," and folded.

Dilley Down, Howeth Up

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Michael Wang shoved all in for 13,700 from early position and action folded to Shane Howeth, who went all in over the top of him for 27,500 from the button. Aaron Dilley was in the small blind and went all in over both of them, getting a fold from the big blind.

Michael Wang: {q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Shane Howeth: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}
Aaron Dilley: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

The board ran out {q-Clubs}{5-Spades}{6-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{8-Hearts} to give Wang a pair of queens on the flop, only to see Howeth make the nut flush on the turn and scoop the entire pot for more than a double. He later shared that he was the most recent rags-to-riches story of the tournament, having been down to 6,000 just two hands before. He made quad tens on the hand before to get up to 27,500 and now finds himself with nearly three starting stacks as Level 8 comes to a close.
