Giguere Gets the Most Out of Kornik

Level 6 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

On a four-way {6-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{9-Hearts} flop, Martin Giguere checked and an opponent bet 55,000. Another player in the hand called and then Lily Kornik raised all-in for 532,000. Giguere flatted and the other two players folded.

Kornik: {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}
Giguere: {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}

Giguere flopped huge but Kornik wasn't drawing dead. Unfortunately, Kornik bricked her straight draw as the board ran out {k-Spades}{4-Diamonds} and she was eliminated.

Ladies Are No Good for O'Brien

Level 6 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

With 230,000 in the pot, on a board reading {k-Spades}{8-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}, Mathieu Boulanger-Vaugeois led out for 125,000 from the hijack and Lawrence O'Brien decided to move all-in for 434,000 from the cutoff. Boulanger-Vaugeois thought for about half a minute and called.

O'Brien tabled {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts} for a pair of queens but he was up against {a-Spades}{k-Hearts} for a pair of kings. The river was the {4-Clubs} and O'Brien was eliminated, asking if he could still buy back in again.

Arora Can't Get One Past Lalji

Level 6 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

With about 70,000 in the pot, on a board reading {j-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{5-Hearts}, Nadir Lalji checked from the big blind and Laurence Grondin bet 35,000 from the hijack. Jimmy Arora called on the button and Lalji came along also.

The turn was the {k-Hearts} and Lalji and Grondin checked to Arora who bet 65,000. Lalji called and Grondin mucked.

The river was the {7-Clubs}. Arora put out a bet for 160,000 and Lalji hesitated before deciding to call.

Arora rapped the table in defeat as he taled {8-Clubs}{6-Spades} for a busted straight draw. Lalji tabled {q-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for a flush and raked in the pot.

Seyedrohollah On a Roll

Level 6 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

We got to the table as the dealer was completing a board reading {10-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{7-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} with James Cooke being the player at risk for 900,000. Ettehadi Seyedrohollah was on the other end and appeared to have {j-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} for the nut straight.

Cooke had {k-Spades}{q-Spades} in front of him for a pair of kings and a busted flush draw and he hit the rail.

Seyedrohollah now sits on 4,000,000 chips near the top of the leader board.

Lescadres Mucks the River

Level 5 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

With about 150,000 in the pot, on a board reading {a-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}, Patrick Serda checked from the small blind and Jean-Francois Lescadres bet 57,000. Serda called.

The turn was the {k-Spades} and both players checked to the {5-Diamonds} on the river. Serda checked again and this time Lescadres bet 89,000. Serda tossed in a chip to call and Lescadres mucked, sending the pot to Serda without needing to show down.

Perceval Gets Iced

Level 5 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

With what looked to be about 1,300,000 already in the pot of a {4-Spades}{7-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{j-Spades} board, Ruben Perceval splashed a bet of 800,000 in the pot, enough to put his heads-up opponent Alex Difelice all-in.

Difelice quickly called putting his last 462,000 at risk.

Perceval: {k-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
Difelice: {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}

The {4-Diamonds} completed the board on the river and Difelice scored the double up.

Lescadres Serves Up Serda on the River

Level 5 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Patrick Serda
Patrick Serda

Patrick Serda raised to 20,000 from under the gun and got a call from Steve Toulch in middle position. Jean-Francois Lescadres was in the big blind and three-bet to 80,000. Serda thought for a moment and called, followed by a fold from Toulch.

The flop came {j-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{5-Diamonds}. Lescadres led for 81,000 and Serda called. The turn was the {5-Clubs} and both players checked to the {a-Hearts} on the river. Lescadres paused and checked again, and Serda tossed out a single T500,000 chip, putting Lescadres to the test for his last 275,000. Lescadres couldn't call fast enough, tabling {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} for aces full of fives. Serda flashed the {5-Spades} for trip fives and paid the bet.
