Ladies for MacDonald

Level 3 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Laurence Grondin raised to 12,000 from under the gun and Kevin MacDonald three-bet to 30,000 from middle position. Action folded to Duff Charette in the small blind who thought for a moment before putting in a four-bet to 100,000. The big blind and Grondin got out of the way and MacDonald called.

The flop came {10-Spades}{4-Clubs}{3-Clubs} and Charette led out for 80,000. MacDonald paused and then called. The turn was the {9-Clubs} and both players checked to the {8-Spades} on the river. Charette checked and MacDonald waited a moment before betting 125,000. Charette called and MacDonald tabled {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs} for a pair of queens. Charette mucked and MacDonald raked in the pot.
