Another Stack Claimed by Kornuth

Level 15 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Chance Kornuth
Chance Kornuth

Jonathan Duhamel kicked off the action with an open to 175,000 from the cutoff. Chance Kornuth flatted from the small blind and then Brady Hinnegan three-bet jammed all-in for 1,170,000 in the big blind.

Duhamel took a moment before making the call only to see Kornuth four-bet shove over the top. A call would Duhamel at risk and he eventually folded.

Hinnegan: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Kornuth: {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

Kornuth had set the trap and it worked to perfection. Hinnegan would see his run come to an end after finding no help from a {j-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{3-Spades}{8-Spades}{9-Clubs} board.

'SuperSerda' Ships Online $10K High Roller, Crosses 10 Million and Busts Karamalikis

Level 15 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Patrick Serda
Patrick Serda

We got to the table as Jonathan Karamalikis was all-in from the cutoff for his last 600,000 chips and was called by his good friend Patrick 'SuperSerda' Serda on the button.

Karamalikis was at risk with {a-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}, up against Serda's {k-Clubs}{q-Spades}.

The flop came {j-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} and Serda picked up a straight draw with Karamalikis still ahead with ace-high. As the dealer was putting out the {2-Spades} on the turn, Serda noticed the draw and said "Oh! Showers!" Sure enough, the river was the {9-Clubs} to complete Serda's straight and Karamalikis was eliminated. Serda laughed and said "I'll see you later" while Karamalikis wished the table good luck and headed to the rail.

Serda came in to the day with 1,400,000 in chips, and was sitting out for a good while because he was chip-leading the $10,000 NL $1.5 million guaranteed WCOOP High Roller online. He ended up shipping the whole thing for almost half a million USD, and now sits near the top of the counts in this $2 million guaranteed event. He is also well-known for his heads-up chop in the 2016 EPT Prague High Roller after he earned himself better than ICM to allow William Kassouf to take home the title and trophy. He now has a High Roller win to himself after steam-rolling the field on Day 2 today.

Keep an eye out for the Winnipeg native as he sits atop the leader board hunting for back-to-back titles this week!

Kings for Kaemmerlen

Level 15 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

We got to the table as the board was running out, with Peter Kaemmerlen at risk on the button with {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}.

Kaemmerlen was up against his neighbor Jonathan Roberge in the small blind with {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}.

The board ran out {j-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{4-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} and Kaemmerlen locked up the pot with a set to double through.

Leah Catches Heat on the Turn to Bust Watson

Level 14 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Douglas Watson raised to 125,000 from early position and action folded to Mike Leah on the button. He reached for chips and put in a three-bet to 335,000. Watson tank-called.

The flop came {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{5-Spades} and Watson checked. Leah, who has been back and forth between the live felt and the online felt, made a bet of 155,000. Watson check-raised to 600,000 and Leah announced "All-in". Watson called for about 250,000 more behind.

Watson was at risk with {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}, ahead of Leah's {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}.

Unfortunately for Watson, the turn was the {a-Clubs} to pair Leah's ace, and the dealer completed the board with the {5-Clubs} on the river to send Watson packing.

Serda Doubles Through Rivest

Level 14 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Patrick Serda
Patrick Serda

Patrick Serda has 470,000 reasons to be happy right now after he successfully went wire to wire to win the $10,000 WCOOP High Roller earlier this evening.

Serda has one more thing to be happy about after a recent double up against Kevin Rivest.

Serda three-bet shoved preflop for 895,000 after RIvest opened and when action came back around, Rivest got a count and made the call.

Serda: {a-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}
Rivest: {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}

The board fanned out {3-Spades}{3-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} and Serda scored the double up.

A Bad Prom Date

Level 14 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Frederic Cossette raised to 145,000 from early position and Sreyleap Prom moved all-in for 480,000 from middle position. David Sorgente was in the hijack and cold-called. Action came back around to Cossette and he tank-called.

The flop came {k-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} and Cossette checked. Sorgente elected to move all-in for 2,190,000 and Cossette went into the tank. After about two minutes he opted to fold.

Prom tabled {a-Spades}{k-Spades} for a pair of kings with top kicker, but she was unfortunate enough to run into Sorgente's {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}.

The turn was the {4-Spades} and the river wash {9-Hearts} to sent Prom to the rail. Cossette winced and claimed to have had queen-jack, which would've made a straight to eliminate both Prom and Sorgente.

Bad Beat Busts Benger

Level 14 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Griffin Benger's stack had shrunk to less than 10 big blinds and shoved preflop from middle position. Action folded around to Maurizio Lo Russo in the big blind and he called to put Benger at risk.

Benger: {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}
Lo Russo: {7-Hearts}{7-Spades}

Benger was racing for his tournament life and flopped huge as the dealer fanned out {6-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}. The turn, however, was the {7-Diamonds} giving Lo Russo a set and a brick {q-Diamonds} on the river spelled the end for Benger.
