NL Hold'em Quantum

Day 1d Started

It's Quantum Time Again; Day 1d Set For 7 p.m.

The World Cup of Cards is in full gear at the Playground Poker Club in Kahnawake, Quebec. Day 1d of Event #1: NL Hold'em Quantum starts at 7 p.m. local time. This is the fourth of ten starting flights, with buyins as low as CAD $170 up to CAD $2,200, which is a direct buy-in to Day 2.

This evenings buy-in is $250 with the top 10% of the field qualifying for Day 2. Players will start with 15,000 chips and blinds will increase every 20 minutes until the 10th level, switching to 30 minutes after.

There have been 399 total entries received through the first two starting flights. Just 39 players have booked their seat into Day 2.

Every player who makes Day 2 from any of the Quantum starting flights will receive CAD $400. Players can finish multiple starting flights and take their biggest stack forward. Each time a player makes Day 2 they will earn $400 CAD and $1,500 for each forfeited stack.

This is just the first event on the 28-event schedule. Players will be able to compete all month for their share of the CAD $2,000,000 guaranteed in prize money throughout the World Cup of Cards.

PokerNews will be here throughout the festival, bringing you all the news, updates, and photos. Follow @pokernews on Twitter for live updates, Periscope broadcasts, and more. Also, follow PokerNews on Facebook and Instagram.

Level 3 Begins

Play has now entered Level 3. Blinds have increased to 75/150 with a 25 ante.

There are currently 38 players registered with late registration open for another 50 minutes.

Top Six Players Move On

For the $250 buy-in Quantum flights, the top 10% of the field automatically qualify for Day 2. Tonight's field of 56 entries will take the top six players into Day 2. Those players will also receive a $400 cash bonus just for surviving.
