Day 1j Started
Today is the last of ten starting flights for Event #1 of the World Cup of Cards. The Quantum No-Limit Hold em tournament kicked off the WCC at Playground Poker Club back on August 17. Today, the buy-in is $250 and each player that qualifies will take home $400. If a player is bagging for the second time, they get $1,500 extra.
The field should be big tonight, since the only other way to get into Day 2 of the Quantum after this flight is to direct buy-in to Day 2. That will cost you $2,200 and you'll start with 150,000.
[Removed:105] is the man to catch with 399,100. He bagged that back in the first starting flight.
The first ten levels are 20 minutes, the next ten are 30, and the remaining levels are 40 until only two players remain.
The action starts at 7p.m.
The World Cup of Cards is a month-long poker festival held at Playground Poker Club just outside of Montreal.

The Quantum Day 1j flight is now over 100 players. The total as of right now is 118.
The last Quantum flight closed registration with 149 players. That means another 15 more players will advance to Day 2. Day 2 is tomorrow at 7 p.m.
Charles La Boissonniere and Jason Conforti are in the field with 43 left. Despite being the top of the leaderboard and playing several of the flights, neither of them has earned a seat in Day 2 of the Quantum.
They are the top two of the leaderboard and extended their lead on Joey Boczek, who is currently in third. As the tournament series winds down, a place in Day 2 of the Quantum may prove the difference between winning the $8,000 Tournament Leaderboard Carribean Package and finishing second.
