Burns Doubles Through Marcus

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

The action folded round to Kahle Burns in the small blind and he shoved all in for 18,500. Van Marcus called in the big blind and the cards were tabled.

Burns: {Q-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Marcus: {Q-Spades}{5-Hearts}

The {8-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{5-Clubs} flop gave Marcus the lead, but the {10-Diamonds} on the turn put it back in Burns' favour. The river landed the {4-Hearts} and Burns doubled to 41,000 as Marcus was crippled with down to nine big blinds.

Ferraro Doubles

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Jason Giuliano defended his big blind against a raise from Francesco Ferraro and then had his opponent all in for 35,500 on the {J-Clubs} {9-Hearts} {4-Hearts} flop. Giuliano was slightly ahead with {4-Clubs} {5-Hearts} but Ferrario instantly completed his flush on the {8-Hearts} turn holding {A-Hearts} {7-Hearts}. He jumped up and cheered "not even a sweat" after his double up was guaranteed. The {8-Spades} on the river was just a formality.

Kassela Snap Calls

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

With the board showing {9-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{2-Hearts}{3-Hearts} Kyle Montgomery led out for 27,000 and was called by Frank Kassela in the hijack before the {8-Hearts} completed the board.

Montgomery reached for his chips and slid out 50,000 and was snap called. He reluctantly tabled his {q-Hearts}{10-Spades} for queen-high and lost the hand when Kassela showed his {5-Spades}{5-Diamonds} for a pair and the winning hand.

Nguyen Busts Kamutzki

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Heinz Kamutzki raised all in from the hijack seat for 37,000, and Minh Nguyen reraised all in for 70,000 from the cutoff seat. Everyone folded, and it was Kamutzki's {A-Spades}{8-Hearts} in heaps of trouble against Nguyen's {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}.

The flop, turn, and river ran out {9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{10-Hearts}{9-Clubs}, and Kamutzki was eliminated.

Michael tran
Michael tran

With the flop showing {2-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{10-Hearts} Michael Tran checked from the small blind. Gary Benson bet out 9,000 before being met with a raise all in totalling 73,000. Benson agonised over his decision for several minutes before making the call with his tournament at risk.

Tran: {k-Clubs}{q-Spades}
Benson: {k-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}

The board ran out the {7-Hearts} and {10-Diamonds} to see Benson spike a heart to complete a flush as Tran dropped down to 26,500.

Shortly after Benson was able to collect the remainder of Tran’s chips when his {a-Clubs}{7-Spades} out-kicked Tran's {a-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} moving him up to 138,000 in chips.

Chia Doubles Through Liu

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Joachim Chia raised from the cutoff and Shao Liu defended his big blind to see the {5-Hearts} {6-Spades} {Q-Hearts} flop. We missed the action but until the {10-Diamonds} turn there were already 35,000 chips in the pot and Chia was all in and at risk for 67,000 chips with {6-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds}. Liu looked him up with {Q-Spades} {8-Clubs} but could not improve anymore on the {9-Clubs} river.

Davies Eliminates Dunkel

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

We arrived at the table just as Jeremy Dunkel and Scott Davies committed their chips on a {6-Spades}{7-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop.

Davies: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}
Dunkel: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

Dunkel was at risk and was not happy to see the {k-Diamonds} fall on the turn. The {6-Hearts} completed the board and Dunkel was sent to the rail as Davies rocketed up to 470,000 in chips.

Warne: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

With Huntly in bad shape, the board ran out {Q-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{A-Hearts}{K-Spades} to end his tournament early as Warne moved to roughly 250,000 in chips.
