Troha and Williams Among Early Casualties

Sean Troha was the first player to bust and he was soon followed by David Williams. The latter lost a big pot when jamming the 10♦4♠2♦5♥6♦ river with some 135,000 in the middle. Wai Lo reluctantly called for his last 85,000 and was good with the A♦K♠. Williams flung his cards towards the muck and the dealer pulled them in.

Soon after, Williams headed to the payout desk.

The Next Two to Fall

Alan Khoo was spotted on his way out of the tournament area and his chips were sent to Adam Swan. On a 5♣4♠2♣10♣8♠ board, Swan's 4♣4♦ for a flopped set of fours won the pot.

The same table lost another player right after as Phillip Nagy came up short against Diogo Cardoso.

Lindgren Loses With His Favorite Hand

Action was three ways with 8,000 in the middle and 8♠4♥A♥ on the board when Rene Majed checked from the small blind and Youzou Yin checked from the big blind. Erick Lindgren tossed out 2,000 from the next seat over and Majed called before Yin got out of the way.

The turn was 9♥ and Majed check-called a bet of 8,000 from Lindgren to see J♣ on the river.

Both players checked the river and Majed turned over 8♥6♥ for the flush.

"This is my favorite hand," Lindgren said to Majed as he tossed it in the muck without showing. "Only you know what that is."

On the tail end of a battle of the blinds to the A♠K♠3♦4♠4♦ river, Anatoly Filatov checked. Jaesung Lee bet 30,000 and Filatov reluctantly called, but already tossed his chips close to his opponent.

"Flush," Lee announced and tabled the 7♠2♠ for a big blind special.

Zubov Chips Up Without Showdown

In a multi-way pot to the 10♠9♣2♠ flop, Shelley Rubenstein and Adam Swan opted to check. There were some 80,000 in the middle and Aleksandr Zubov bet 30,000. Rubenstein folded and the same also applied for Swan, awarding the healthy pot to Zubov without any showdown.

Moments later, the dealer announced a seat open on a nearby table and Pete Chen headed to the payout desk. The WPT and WSOP champion has earned a min-cash of $1,400 for the efforts and there are 91 players remaining in the second level of the day.

Lindgren Gets a Few Back

Action was heads up with 9,000 in the middle and 3♥4♣Q♠ on the board when Yuzhou Yin bet 3,000 and Erick Lindgren called.

The turn was 5♥ and Yin checked. Lindgren tossed out 9,000 and that was enough to take the pot.

Lindgren is climbing back towards the starting stack after an early setback.

McAdam Eliminated by Ding

With some 60,000 in the middle to the J♦8♠7♥ flop, Robert McAdam bet 18,000 in the small blind and Biao Ding called from under the gun. McAdam jammed the 5♦ turn and Ding asked for a count.

The shove was for 88,500, which Ding had covered by a few big blinds, and the call followed shortly after.
