Sapitavicius Sends Negreanu to the Exit

Level 22 : Blinds 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante
Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

Action folded to Arunas Sapitavicius in the small blind who jammed to put Daniel Negreanu to a decision for his short stack in the big blind. When the vlog camera came out, it was clear that we were about to see five cards as Negreanu called it off to set up a runout and put himself at risk.

Daniel Negreanu: A3
Arunas Sapitavicius: K8

The 25Q flop was safe for Negreanu, but when the 8 jumped out on the turn, he was left needing a four or an ace going to the river. The dealer burned a card and completed the board with the 10, offering no help to Negreanu who stood to exit the tournament area just shy of the three table redraw.

Aleksejs Ponakovs: AQ
Adrian Mateos: 103

Daniel Vs. Daniel Results In Chop

Level 22 : Blinds 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante
Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

Daniel Negreanu open-jammed a stack of 950,000 from early position and Daniel Rezaei re-shoved in the small blind to get things heads-up.

"Daniel vs. Daniel," Rezaei said as he did so.

"I don't know what I have. I have two picture cards," Negreanu said.

Daniel Rezai: KQ
Daniel Negreanu: KJ

Negreanu flipped his cards one at a time to see he was pipped and in need of a jack or spades. The flop of 244 created some chop possibilities before the K turn gave both players a pair of kings. "That doesn't help me," Negreanu commented.

But Negreanu's attitude changed when the A rolled off on the river to make it a chop. "That does!" he cheered as he chopped the pot to stay alive.

Roiter Bombs the River

Level 22 : Blinds 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante

Jean-Pierre Van Der Spuy raised to 350,000 from late position and found one caller in Klemens Roiter from the big blind before seeing the flop come 5A3.

Roiter checked and Van Der Spuy continued with a bet worth 425,000. Roiter used up a timebank before eventually making the call to see the turn come the J.

Action checked through to the 3. Roiter wasted little time in announcing all in to put Van Der Shuy to a decision for his tournament life.

Van Der Shuy spread all of his timebanks out in front of him making it clear that he had a decision. After burning through all but one of his timebanks, he made the fold to preserve his tournament life and send the pot in Roiter's direction.

Level 22 : Blinds 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante

Artur Martirosian and Damian Salas traded raises until Salas was all in for his last 2,350,000. The cards were turned over and Salas stood up.

Damian Salas: QQ
Artur Martirosian: A7

The flop came 2Q6 and Salas went towards the rail in celebration. The board finished up J9.

"You lost!" Jason Koon said to Salas, who had absconded from the table. That was a lie and Salas dragged the double with a set of queens.
