Unlu Flops the Nuts to Take Down Cowboys in a Massive Pot

Level 16 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Sinan Unlu
Sinan Unlu

Aleksejs Ponakovs raised from under the gun with 99, before Kannapong Thanarattrakul three-bet to 325,000 from middle position. It then folded to Sinan Unlu in the small blind, and he four-bet all in for his stack of 2,940,000. Once the big blind folded, Ponakovs folded as well, and Thanarattrakul made the call to put Unlu at risk.

Sinan Unlu: AK All in
Kannapong Thanarattrakul: KK

It was a cooler for Unlu, who jammed into the pocket kings of Thanarattrakul. However, the J10Q flop turned things around quickly, as Unlu flopped the nuts with a Broadway straight. The J on the turn gave Thanarattrakul an out to win the pot, to go along with his chop outs. But the 7 on the river was no help, and Unlu secured a massive double up.

Jiang Knocks Out Maslak Blind on Blind to Ascend to the Chip Lead

Level 17 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Sosia Jiang
Sosia Jiang

Action folded to the small blind Konstantin Maslak, who limped in. Then Sosia Jiang in the big blind raised to 325,000, before Maslak three-bet all in for his stack of 2,700,000, which Jiang called.

Konstantin Maslak: 55 All in
Sosia Jiang: 66

Maslak found himself out piped by the bigger pocket pair of Jiang, and once the board ran out 8K39Q Jiang's pocket sixes were still best, eliminating Maslak.

With that pot, Jiang now sits atop of the leaderboard.
