Jason Koon raised to 40,000 in the cutoff and Tamas Adamszki three-bet shoved in the big blind for 210,000, putting himself at risk. Koon took some time to think through his decision before eventually flicking in the call.
Tamas Adamszki: K♦J♦
Jason Koon: A♠5♥
The board ran out 2♠3♠5♣3♦6♦ and Koon's two pair, treys and fives, proved to be best.
Yang Wang moved all in for 235,000 on the button and Ossi Ketola called in the small blind.
Yang Wang: Q♣Q♥
Ossi Ketola: A♠A♣
Wang had woken up with queens, but he ran right into Ketola's aces as the A♦10♦9♥ flop gave Ketola top set. The 9♣ turn improved Ketola to a full house, and Wang headed for the exit once the 8♣ completed the board on the river.
Samuel Mullur raised to 50,000 in the hijack and Jason Koon called on the button. Ben Tollerene then moved all in for 585,000 from the small blind, Paulius Vaitiekunas stuck in his last 275,000 in the big blind, and Mullur reshoved to force Koon from the pot.
Paulius Vaitiekunas: Q♣Q♦
Ben Tollerene: 7♣7♥
Samuel Mullur: A♥K♣
The flop came A♠9♥4♣ to give Mullur the lead with a pair of aces and leave Vaitiekunas and Tollerene at risk of elimination. The 10♥ turn was no help to the at-risk players, while Mullur improved to trips on the A♦ river to send both opponents to the rail.
Stephen Chidwick raised to 50,000 in the hijack and Sean Winter three-bet to 250,000 in the cutoff. Chidwick then moved all in and Winter called for 380,000.
Sean Winter: K♦Q♥
Stephen Chidwick: 10♣10♦
Winter picked up a straight draw heading to the river on a board of 3♦J♦3♥9♥, but he improved no further on the 4♣ as Chidwick took the pot with two pair to send Winter to the rail.
Justin Bonomo just cracked the 3,000,000-chip milestone after busting Sirzat Hissou.
Bonomo began the hand by raising to 50,000 under the gun as Hissou defended his big blind.
Bonomo bet 35,000 on the A♣10♠5♠ flop, then 140,000 on the 7♥ turn as Hissou stuck around to see the K♣ river.
Bonomo then moved all in and Hissou called for 270,000 with A♥6♣ for a pair of aces, but Bonomo had him out-kicked holding A♠Q♥ and Hissou hit the rail.
Leonard Maue raised to 50,000 under the gun before Jeremy Ausmus three-bet to 150,000 in the small blind. Maue used a time bank and eventually moved all in for 245,000 as Ausmus called to put him at risk.
Leonard Maue: A♠10♣
Jeremy Ausmus: K♦Q♠
Maue remained in the lead on the J♣7♦6♦ flop, but Ausmus hit the K♥ on the turn to make top pair. The river was the J♠ and Maue was eliminated.
Adrian Mateos moved all in for 115,000 in middle position and Tom Fuchs called on the button. Seth Davies then reraised to 360,000 in the small blind and Fuchs got out of the way.
Adrian Mateos: A♥9♣
Seth Davies: A♣Q♣
The 8♦2♣2♦ flop opened the possibility of a chop, but Davies hit two pair on the Q♦ turn to leave Mateos drawing dead. The river was the 3♦ and Mateos was eliminated.
Action folded to Alexander Zubov who limped in from the small blind. Michael Moncek then raised to 120,000 in the big blind and Zubov came back with a reraise to 350,000. Moncek quickly slid forward his entire stack and Zubov snap-called for 1,405,000 to create the biggest pot of the tournament so far.
Alexander Zubov: Q♣Q♦
Michael Moncek: K♦3♥
Moncek had been caught making a big move as he had most of his chips at risk against Zubov's queens. The 9♦7♠2♣J♠7♥ board provided Moncek no help as Zubov earned the massive double up, leaving Moncek with just one big blind.
Moncek was all in the next hand with Q♦9♣ and up against Stephen Song's 8♥8♣. Moncek hit two pair on a board of Q♣9♠7♣5♣, but Song spiked the 8♠ on the river to make a set and send Moncek to the rail.
Ossi Ketola raised to 60,000 under the gun and Jans Arends moved all in for 460,000 in the hijack. Daniel Dvoress called for his last 400,000 in the big blind, while Ketola also called to put both opponents at risk.
Daniel Dvoress: A♥A♣
Jans Arends: A♦Q♣
Ossi Ketola: 10♥10♣
Dvoress had found a pair of aces and was a big favorite to scoop the pot as the board ran out J♠4♦8♥3♦6♥. He earned the triple up, while Ketola took the side pot with his tens to send Arends to the rail.
