Glaser Spikes the River to Bust Jaka

Level 7 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Benny Glaser
Benny Glaser

Benny Glaser opened from the cutoff and Faraz Jaka defended his big blind to create a pot of around 65,000.

The 1095 flop checked through to the 2 which saw Jaka lead with a bet. Glaser then raised enough to put Jaka all-in and he quickly called off for 247,000.

Faraz Jaka: Q10 All in
Benny Glaser: J8

Jaka was ahead with top pair but Glaser had an open-ender and one over. The dealer peeled the J on the river to give Glaser top pair which was enough to send Jaka to the rail as Glaser padded his stack after a sixth place finish in the $50,000 Pot-Limit Omaha earlier today.

The turn was the K and both players checked to the A on the river. Mercier checked again and Soika put together a bet of 130,000. The river was the J and Kenjic checked once more. Soyza threw in a bet of 400,000, enough to put Kenjic to the test for his remaining 114,000 chips. Kenjic thought for over a minute before making the call with 92 for a pair of nines. However, Soyza tabled Q5 for two pair to eliminate Kenjic.
