Lin's Double Takes Nearly Half of Eychenne's Stack

Level 7 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Jianwei Lin
Jianwei Lin

Three players saw the 643 flop, and Jianwei Lin checked from the big blind before Thomas Eychenne shot a bet of 30,000 next to act into the pot of about 100,000. Santhosh Suvarna was on the button and got out of the way, but Lin stuck around with a call.

The K fell on the turn, and Lin checked to Eychenne who continued for 112,000. Lin stood up to eye Eychenne's stack and fumbled with his chips for about 25 seconds before deciding on a raise of 310,000. Eychenne went into a tank of his own, taking a little more than two minutes before stacking up a pile of chips large enough to cover Lin and sliding them across the line. Lin snap-called off his stack of 743,000 and both hands were tossed on their backs.

Jianwei Lin: 75 All in
Thomas Eychenne: 66

It was a cooler as Lin had flopped a straight against the set of Eychenne, and Lin managed to avoid the board pairing as the dealer rolled the Q river.

Aggression Doesn't Pay Off for Botez

Level 8 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Alexandra Botez
Alexandra Botez

Eliot Hudon opened in the hijack and Alexandra Botez defended the big blind.

The dealer fanned a flop of J98, and Botez check-raised the bet of 25,000 to 75,000. Hudon made the call. The K hit the turn an Botez continued for 111,000. Hudon called fairly quickly.

The 4 completed the board on the river and Botez blasted 450,000 across the line. Hudon went deep into the tank as he started talking aloud, "Usually women are on the tighter side, but I have a feeling your on the other side."

Hudon continued to tank as he tried to figure out Botez' hand, "Nine-ten maybe?"

After a few more seconds, he slapped a few chips across the line and heard the words he wanted to hear, 'Nice call."

Botez rolled 108 for a pair of eights and a busted straight draw and Hudon pulled in the pot with two pair as he showed KJ.
