Justin Saliba raised to 85,000 in middle position and Anatoly Filatov defended from the big blind. The flop fell K♥9♥5♠ and Filatov check-called a bet of 60,000 from Saliba.
The turn was the 8♣ and Filatov checked again. Saliba sized up to a bet of 240,000 and Filatov stuck around for the 8♦ on the river. Both players tapped the table and Filatov turned over K♣7♣ for the best hand.
Action folded to Nick Maimone in the cutoff, and he raised to 85,000. It then folded to Bryn Kenney in the big blind, who three-bet all in for his stack of 760,000. Maimone gave it some thought and said "I really dont want to call" before putting his chips in the middle to make the call.

It was a race for Kenney's tournament life, and when the board ran out 2♠Q♦8♦8♥9♥ the pocket fives of Kenney were still best, giving him the double up.
Action went three-ways to a flop of 2♣5♣10♠ in a hand between Daniel Negreanu in early position, Jeremy Dan on the button, and Roland Rokita in the big blind.
Rokita checked, Negreanu bet 175,000, and Dan called. Rokita then came over the top and shoved all in for 910,000, putting himself at risk. Negreanu got out of the way and Dan quickly called.

Rokita pulled ahead by drilling the 10♦ on the turn and improved to a full house when the K♦ rolled off on the river.
Scott Seiver opened the action with a raise to 80,000 from the hijack, which was called by Frank Funaro on the button, and the big blind Cristian Nagaki.
The flop came J♦5♦8♦ and Nagaki checked to Seiver who bet out 115,000. Funaro made the call, and Nagaki mucked.
After the 2♦ on the turn, Seiver checked to Funaro, who started to reach for chips and Seiver announced 'fold" before Funaro bet, giving him the pot.
Former NBA point guard Tony Parker made his worst pass ever when he tossed pocket kings in the muck preflop on Day 1a of the $25,000 buy-in Super Main Event at World Series of Poker (WSOP) Paradise.

The 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Paradise is comprised of 15 bracelet events, and two of those are online events at GGPoker. On Sunday, Dec. 8, the $2,750 buy-in Event #4: GGMasters Online Championship featured a $2,500,000 guarantee, but with only 813 entrants the field enjoyed a juicy $467,500 overlay.
The two-day tournament ended with Brazil’s Matheus Cardoso Machado as the last player standing to claim a $432,623 first-place prize and his first WSOP online gold bracelet.

Sorel Mizzi raised to 80,000 in middle position and Espen Myrmo jammed all in for 700,000 on his left. Taylor von Kriegenbergh flat-called from the cutoff and the action folded back to Mizzi who used a time bank before folding.

The flop came Q♦10♦6♣ and Myrmo actually picked up an additional out despite von Kriegenbergh flopping a pair of queens. The 9♣ on the turn made things a little more sweaty and the K♥ on the river gave Myrmo a straight to stay alive.
Audrius Stakelis raised to 80,000 in the cutoff, Elie Nakache flatted on the button, and Chance Kornuth three-bet to 390,000 in the big blind, resulting in folds from Stakelis and Nakache.
The next hand, Nakache raised to 80,000 in the cutoff and Pavel Rasskazov three-bet shoved on the button for 830,000, putting himself at risk. Nakache thought for a moment before surrendering his hand.
Igor Pihela raised to 100,000 from under the gun and Stephen Chidwick called from the big blind. The flop came A♦8♣2♦ and Chidwick started with a check. Pihela threw in a bet of 125,000 and Chidwick check-raised to 275,000. Pihela reraised to 525,000 and Chidwick moved all in for 715,000 which Pihela called.

Chidwick outflopped Pihela with two pair and the 7♠8♠ runout improved him to a full house to score a double up.
Action folded to the small blind Eric Yanovsky who raised to put the big blind Jason Mercier all-in for his stack of 365,000, which he quickly called.

Eric Yanovsky: A♥2♥
It was a fair fight but Yanovsky was ahead with his ace-high. The board ran out A♠7♠8♦3♥8♣ and Mercier's flopped flush draw bricked out, giving Yanovsky the pot with his pair of aces and knocking out Mercier.
Mercier left the table and said "0 for 12" and wished the table good luck.
