Some tournament victories are hard-fought slogs that last until the small hours of the morning, but Kayhan Mokri's triumph in the $250,000 Triton Invitational at WSOP Paradise was an absolute masterclass in dominance.

The Norwegian started Day 3 with a massive chip lead over the final 15 players and never looked back. By the time he dispatched Gabriel Andrade in second place, sealing the massive $7,725,000 top prize, he was still in time to celebrate at the WSOP Player's Party.

This victory marks Mokri's first WSOP bracelet and his third Triton title, propelling him to the top of the Norwegian all-time money list.

Defending Champion Spotlight: Yinan Zhou

China’s Yinan Zhou made history in the Bahamas when he captured the inaugural WSOP Paradise Super Main Event title, defeating a field of 1,978 entries to earn $6,000,000 and his first bracelet.

The 24-year-old became the first-ever Super Main Event champion after a fearless performance that included bluffing one of poker’s toughest players, Michael Addamo, and eliminating his poker idol, Justin Bonomo.

“I played at the final table with my idol and busted him,” Zhou said after his win. “That’s awesome.”

The $25,000 buy-in event carried a record $50 million guarantee and attracted poker’s biggest stars. Among those at the final table were Mustapha Kanit (3rd – $3.6M), Liv Boeree (4th – $2.8M), and Bonomo (7th – $1.3M). Brazil’s Marcelo Aziz, who qualified online for free, finished runner-up for $4.6 million after Zhou sealed victory in heads-up play.

“I'm feeling calm, to be honest, "said Zhou. “When I started the final table nine-handed, I [felt] very nervous. But when we got down to six, I [felt] very calm. I just enjoyed this final table."
