The $10,000 8-Game Mix gets underway at 5 p.m., but what is 8-Game?

8-Game is a poker variant comprising of eight separate poker disciplines played on rotation. The disciplines are (in order): 2-7 Triple Draw, Limit Hold'em, Omaha Hi-Lo, Razz, Seven Card Stud, Stud Hi-Lo, No-Limit Hold'em and Pot-Limit Omaha.

Here we go over the poker rules for 8-Game.

At WSOP Paradise 2024, Eric Wasserson finally joined the ranks of WSOP bracelet winners when he captured Event #5: $25,000 Dealers Choice Championship, earning $353,340. The victory ended a long quest for the elusive title.

The tournament drew a small but elite field of 49 entries, featuring some of the best mixed-game players in the world. The final table included familiar names like Josh Arieh (2nd – $262,090), Mike Gorodinsky (3rd – $194,430), and Daniel Zack (4th – $144,230). Wasserson held the chip lead entering the last day and never relinquished it.

“It is a monkey off of my back for sure," said Wasserson. “I’ve been trying to win a bracelet for a long time. It feels really good to finally get it done. You just have to focus on each hand as a new situation.”
