One Hand, One Double, One Wine Glass for Negreanu

Level 7 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

Daniel Negreanu just sat down with a glass of red wine in hand and wasted no time getting his chips in.

In his first hand at the table, Nitis Udornpim opened to 26,000 and Negreanu jammed a starting stack of 500,000.

"I'm in. Are you in?" Negreanu asked Udornpim.

"F*** it," he replied and called.

Daniel Negreanu: AK All in
Nitis Udornpim: AQ

Negreanu had his opponent dominated but wasn't optimistic. "Last time this didn't hold!"

But the board ran out a safe 107732 to earn Negreanu a double in his first hand of day — but not of the tournament as Negreanu is already on his ninth tournament bullet.

After the hand, Negreanu complained to table mate Seth Davies that PokerNews makes a fuss about his multiple bullets "while Stephen Chidwick is over there on eight bullets."

"But I'm the bad guy?!" Negreanu yelled before putting on a Russian mob accent. "WELL HERE I AM. I'M THE BAD GUY!"
