In a three-way pot on a flop of 8♣2♣J♥, Igor Paczek and Shaun Deeb checked in the blinds as Luis Rodrigues bet 12,000 in late position.
Paczek called before Deeb check-raised to 52,000, a move that brought folds from both opponents.
Deeb, who PokerNews spoke to recently about his claim that Phil Hellmuth will never win another WSOP bracelet, happens to be two seats apart from his Team Lucky compatriot and 2023 Main Event champion Daniel Weinman.
Action was heads up to the 4♠9♦6♦ flop, where Erik Eisen checked in the small blind. Zdenek Zizka took some time in the big blind before firing a bet of 62,000.
Eisen stuck in the call, and the A♥ turn was revealed. Another check from Eisen led to a bet of 142,000 from Zizka. The call was made, and both players checked it down on the 4♦ river.
Eisen flipped over Q♠Q♣ for two pair, taking down a sizeable pot as Zizka mucked.
After an exciting opening week at the 2025 World Series of Poker Paradise, the stage is set for the largest guaranteed prize pool in poker history to be awarded over the next nine days.
Back this year and bigger than ever before, Event #11: $25,000 Super Main Event features a record $60,000,000 guarantee with four starting flights of the headline event beginning today. Action will get underway on Day 1a at 12:00 p.m. local time, with players from around the world looking to navigate their way through the first ten levels at Atlantis Paradise Island Bahamas.
The first WSOP Paradise Main Event took place in 2023, when Stanislav Zegal won the $5,000-entry edition by defeating a field of 3,010 entries. The online qualifier took home $2,000,000 and a bracelet for his life-altering victory.
Last year, the WSOP went one step further and increased the buy-in to $25,000, accompanied by a $50,000,000 guarantee. That produced 1,978 entries, and 24-year old Yinan Zhoubluffed his way past poker royalty to earn the top prize of $6,000,000.

Many of the world's best poker players are expected to take their shot this year, along with GGPoker qualifiers from around the globe.
The schedule for each opening flight calls for ten levels to be played, each lasting 60 minutes. Players will start with 500,000 chips in their stack, with unlimited reentries available until the start of Level 14 on Day 2.
Blinds will begin at 1,000/2,000 and a 2,000 big blind ante, and breaks will occur after every two levels of play. The schedule also includes a 60-minute dinner break after Level 6.
Players that find a bag on Day 1a and Day 1b will then advance to Day 2a on December 12. That will be followed by the last two opening flights, as Day 1c and Day 1b will place survivors into Day 2b on December 15. The remaining field will then combine for Day 3, as they battle toward the money bubble and a shot at one of the largest top poker prizes ever.
