First Dinner Break

Level 6 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

The first dinner break has started for half the field and will last 75 minutes.

Tables 11-57 are on dinner break now, while all other tables are on a 15-minute break and will play one more level before their 60-minute dinner break. The full field will be back together on Level 8.

Here's a look at some highlights from the last two levels:

"When's It Going to Turn Around For Us?"

Level 6 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Michael Mizrachi
Michael Mizrachi

Bariscan Betil bet 100,000 on a board of 6510J and reigning Main Event champ Michael Mizrachi raised all in. Betil gave it some thought and called for another 160,000 or so.

Bariscan Betil: 99 All in
Michael Mizrachi: 98

Betil was somehow in front with his underpair and Mizrachi couldn't hit his straight as the 5 river bricked off.

"When's it going to turn around for us?" joked fellow WSOP crusher Scott Seiver.

Negreanu Busts First Bullet in Ten Minutes

Level 6 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

Daniel Negreanu's first bullet lasted just ten minutes and he wasted no time tangling with Michael Wang on his second entry.

Wang opened to 20,000 from under the gun and Daniel Negreanu three-bet to 75,000 in the small blind, commenting "Let's see if he's got it." Wang called.

"Good call, good call," said Negrenau.

The flop landed 833 and Negreanu remarked that he should "bet small 'cuz this flop hits my range." He then bet 60,000, which he quickly regretted as he called it "way too much." Wang called.

Negreanu was silent by the A turn and checked. Wang bet 95,000 and heard about it from Negreanu after the Poker Hall of Famer folded.

"If he checked the turn, I would've bet big. I have nothing, but I would have bet big. Now I just fold!"

Kyte Calls Down Livingston

Level 4 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Alex Livingston
Alex Livingston

Jon Kyte checked the 9104 flop from middle position, and Alex Livingston slid out a bet of 27,000 from the cutoff. The call was made, and Kyte checked again on the 3 turn.

Livingston took a moment before firing 75,000, and Kyte called once more. Another check from Kyte followed the 5 river.

Livingston tossed out 300,000, an effective all in asking for the rest of Kyte's stack. Kyte picked up his time bank cards and slid them all forward before going into the tank.

After his last time bank card was taken by the dealer, Kyte stuck in the rest of his stack. Livingston showed Q5 for a flush, and Kyte tapped the table while turning over AK on his way to the rail.

Antonio Galiana opened in the hijack and Peter Turmezey three-bet on the button. Galiana called.

Galiana checked on the flop of J49 and Turmezey continued for 36,000. Galiana check-raised to 105,000 and Turmezey clicked back a three-bet to 162,000. Galiana called.

Galiana checked on the 6 turn and Turmezey bet 210,000. Galiana check-raised all in and Turmezey called with a bigger stack.

Peter Turmezey: J9

Galiana's top pair was in bad shape against Turmezey's top two, and the Q river bricked off to confirm Galiana's elimination.

At the next table, Nick Palma engaged in a discussion about health restrictions during the COVID pandemic, which "Nicky P" supported.

"I don't ever like the government telling me what to do. But a global pandemic is a little different."

Shaun Deeb Says Phil Hellmuth Will Never Win Another WSOP Bracelet

Level 2 : Blinds 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante
Phil Hellmuth and Shaun Deeb

Phil Hellmuth, the record-holder, is done winning World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelets, so says Shaun Deeb.

Deeb told WSOP reporter Jeff Platt on Monday that not only does he believe the "Poker Brat" will never capture his 18th bracelet, he also gave himself a solid chance of eventually surpassing Hellmuth.

PokerNews caught up with Hellmuth on Tuesday at the World Series of Poker Paradise (WSOPP) series in the Bahamas to get his thoughts on Deeb's comments. He took issue with what the reigning WSOP Player of the Year had to say, and suggested that "he was trolling me." But he then said, "he might not have been."
