Not Lacay-ing Aggression
Not Lacay-ing Aggression
John O'Shea has been moved to his friend, Rory Rees-Brennan's table, in between Guillaume de la Gorce and Ludovic Lacay.

The four of them all are contesting all the pots at the moment, Lacay folding a 5,000 bet to a 15,000 check-raise on the turn of a {A-Diamonds} {A-Spades} {8-Hearts} {K-Diamonds} board from De la Gorce.

Soon after Lacay reraised O'Shea's button raise before check-raising all-in on a {A-Diamonds} {5-Hearts} {4-Hearts} board forcing O'Shea to fold after a 10,000 bet.

Yuri's Scott The Lot...

Scott Montgomery has been knocked out by Yuri Kerzhapkin after they got into a huge 200,000 pot on a {A-?} {6-?} {9-?} board. Montgomery ended up all-in with {A-?} {10-?} but couldn't spike against his opponent's {A-?} {J-?}. The Russian is a huge chip leader now.

Rory-Reeling-Brennan

Rory Rees-Brennan has dropped to about 50,000 after losing a 250,000 chip pot all-in preflop with {A-?} {Q-?} to {K-?} {J-?}.

"I'd reraised the guy [Bennis Najib] to my right three times," he explained in a forlorn voice "and he shoved on me and hit a jack on the flop for the lot..."

Annette Obrestad Eliminated

In the hijack, Annette Obrestad raised to 3,000. The player on the button re-raised to 10,000 and action folded around to Annette. She went all in for about 35,000 total and her opponent called instantly with {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}.

Annette tabled {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} and found no help on the board that ran out {J-Spades}{2-Spades}{10-Clubs}{A-Spades}{4-Hearts}, and her day has been cut short just as the first level comes to a close.

Barn-Storming Turn

Remy Biechel has been knocked out by Barny Boatman.

They were all-in on the flop of a {6-Diamonds} {2-Hearts} {3-Clubs}, Boatman held {5-Diamonds} {5-Clubs} but Bischel was holding {A-Hearts} {A-Clubs}.

Alas for the Frenchman, the turn was the {5-Spades} and the river the {J-Hearts} and he was out. Boatman up to 145,000.

Boatman, "I didn't want to limp into the money!"

G Up, G Down

"Tony G" Guoga has had a busy Day 2 thus far. He picked up pocket queens on two consecutive hands with opposite results.

The first time around, the G's opponent was all in with with ace-king versus his pair. Tony hit a set on the flop and his opponent did not recover, boosting Guoga's stack to 125,000.

The following hand, Tony opened to 3,200 under the gun and was called by one player. They checked the {9-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{4-Clubs} flop, delivering the {6-Clubs} on the turn. Tony bet 6,000 and his opponent called, landing the {2-Spades} on the river. Not slowing down, Guoga fired one final bet of 20,000, and his opponent immediately called.

"Set?" asked Tony. Sure enough, his opponent tabled {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}, having bested the pocket queens this time. Still, the gregarious Guoga is up on the day, sitting with about 95,000.

Andrew Is A Felled Man

Andrew Feldman
Andrew Feldman
Yuri Kerzhapkin raised to 3,600 and Andrew Feldman reraised to 11,600 from the small blind. Kerzhapkin moved all-in and Feldman sighed and called.

Kerzhapkin: {10-Clubs} {10-Spades}
Feldman: {A-Hearts} {K-Clubs}

The dealer really teased Feldman putting out a {K-Hearts} {10-Hearts} {6-Hearts} {5-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds} board as he lost the 90,000 flip. Kerzhapkin is up to 185,000 and Feldman was eliminated.

You Spin Me Right Round...

Benny Spindler may look just like the emo emoticon on Skype, but don't let the hair draped over his face fool you, he has an excellent tournament record.

Yuri Kerzhapkin raised to 3,600 from the cutoff and Spindler repopped it to 9,000. Kerzhapkin called but then folded to a 10,000 bet on the {9-Spades} {7-Hearts} {3-Clubs} flop.
