Big Pot For Lacay...

With about 60,000 in the pot, Ludovic Lacay saw his opponent move all-in for 61,100 on a {7-Hearts} {5-Diamonds} {9-Clubs} {J-Diamonds} {7-Spades} board. Lacay, who was runner-up at the WPT in Barcelona a few years back, tanked for a good five minutes. The bet represented nearly half his stack but eventually he called.

His opponent tapped the table and showed {9-Spades} {6-Hearts} losing out to Lacay's {J-Clubs} {10-Diamonds}.

Lacay is over the 200,000 mark.

Hey! That Was My Soda

Stephan Ouzilou opened the pot under the gun with a raise to 7,500, and the action folded all the way around to the blinds. In the small, Joel Benzinou stuck in a three-bet to 23,500, and Ouzilou quickly made the call.

Heads up, the flop came out {9-Diamonds} {4-Diamonds} {4-Hearts}. Benzinou methodically began to cut out chips, and Ouzilou was mirroring his every move, cutting out matching chips from his own stack and adjusting the amount in his hand as Benzinou made up his mind. He finally settled on 32,500, and the calling chips of Ouzilou went into the pot simultaneously.

The turn was the {8-Diamonds}, and Benzinou acted very deliberately again. He would pull a big bet from his stack and think it over for several minutes before slowly checking. Ouzilou checked in unison, and the river was the {10-Diamonds}. As if his chips were made of glass, Benzinou placed a bet of 52,000 in the middle. Ouzilou instantly announced an all in, and Benzinou mucked just as quickly. He shot out of his chair and stormed to the rail, sending his chair and a table full of drinks crashing to the floor in the process.

He's slipped back to about 90,000 after that misstep, and Ouzilou is now very near the top of the board with about 310,000.

O'Shea Busts Callaghan

John O'Shea has eliminated Dave 'Halibut2' Callaghan after the latter checked-called the whole way on a {5-?} {6-?} {6-?} {7-?} {9-?} board, calling all-in on the river.

O'Shea showed {6-?} {5-?} for a flopped boat and Callaghan simply mucked and left the table.

Texas Dali

A player calling himself Dali opened a pot with a raise to 6,000, and Yury Kerzhapkin was the lone caller. On a flop of {5-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{2-Hearts}, Dali would check-fold to a bet of 8,000.

The next hand was more of the same as Dali once again opened to 6,000 and Kerzhapkin came right along. This time though, the big blind moved all in for about 35,000, and Dali moved all in over the top. That was enough to fold Kerzhapkin out of the way. The at-risk player showed up {A-Clubs} {10-Hearts}, and Dali proudly tabled {A-Spades} {A-Hearts}.

The board would provide hope but ultimately fail to change anything as it ran {10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}. That marks the end of another player, and Dali has moved up to 120,000 in the process.

Vigezzi Gorced Out Of The Tournament

Guillaume de la Gorce raised to 5,000 before Lise Vigezzi pushed her last 16,000 in, a swift call followed.

De La Gorce: {K-Hearts} {Q-Diamonds}
Vigezzi: {A-Diamonds} {A-Clubs}

Board: {J-Hearts} {7-Hearts} {9-Diamonds} {4-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds}

The gutshot spiked the river and we lose another from the tournament, we're down to our last ten tables now.

Stefan Hansen Chips Us

We arrived at the table to see the player in seat 5 all in for 53,200 on a {9-Clubs}{6-Spades}{J-Diamonds} board, with about 56,000 in the pot. Stefan Hansen went into the tank, politely telling his opponent that he needed some time.

"Take all the time you need," said his opponent.

Hansen made the call after a short tank, but was dejected to see seat 5 table {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}. Hansen turned over {Q-Spades}{J-Spades} and said "I'm feeling a suckout here."

He was right, as the {Q-Diamonds} fell on the turn to give Hansen the lead. The river was the {K-Diamonds} and his opponent headed to the rail.

Stefan Hansen is now up to 190,000.

Irish Stuck Together

High Stakes PLO player Dave Callaghan has joined the frenetic action at table 1. This means of the five Irish players still in the tournament, four of them are at the same table. (Callaghan, John O'Shea, Rory Rees-Brennan and Nigel Murphy).

"We came to play Morrocans not each other!" said O'Shea.

The only other Irishman still in is Eoghan O'Dea over on table five.

Cohen Albert is On a Boat

Rory Rees-Brennan
Rory Rees-Brennan
We picked up a heads-up pot after the initial betting round put about 15,000 chips in the middle of the table. The dealer spread out a flop of {2-Hearts} {8-Clubs} {7-Hearts}, and Rory Rees-Brennan was first to speak. He and Cohen Albert both checked, and the turn came the {8-Hearts}. Rees-Brennan led out with a bet of 8,500, and Albert would slowly make the call.

The last card off was the {Q-Spades}, and Rees-Brennan moved all in with his covering stack. Albert quickly slid his remaining 25,000 into the middle, putting himself all in and at risk.

Rees-Brennan showed up {Q-Hearts} {J-Hearts} for the flush, but it was no good. Albert tabled {7-Clubs} {7-Diamonds} for the book, scooping the pot and the double up to over 80,000. On the flip side, that loss knocks Rees-Brennan down to 17,000.
