Tureniec Busted

Michael Tureniec has either suffered some sort of metamorphosis over the last fifteen minutes, or he's been eliminated as there's someone else sitting in his seat over on table 17.

Double from Desperate to Breathing for Short Stack Boubli

Jan Boubli just got his final couple of thousand across the line on a flop of {6-} {7-} {8-} - two of those undisclosed suits were, however, hearts. That was good enough for his {K-Hearts} {3-Hearts}, and his chips were in the middle vs. Fabian Quoss, who tossed in the call with his top two - {7-Clubs} {8-Spades}. The draw came in on the {A-Hearts} turn and gave him some room to maneouvre - even if it's just three-point hallway turns.

Wales 1 France 0

On a table tucked away behind the cash game area, a fairly decent pot was being played out by Roberto Romanello and Tristan Clemencon.

Clemencon had check-called a bet of 3,850 on the {10-Hearts} {A-Diamonds} {9-Hearts} {6-Spades} board leading to a {3-Hearts} river. The French youngster checked again and Romanello bet a huge 16,175 which vexed Clemencon for several minutes, eventually though the latter folded and the Welshman took down the pot.

Shane Shorn

The board was reading {9-Clubs} {K-Diamonds} {K-Spades} {4-Diamonds} {A-Clubs} and Shane Schleger had put out a bet of 6,000 on the river. Jerome Zerbib then raised all-in for an additional 12,875 leaving the American sighing as though he'd just locked his keys in the car.

"How much more is it?" he asked with a slight air of resignation. "12,875" said the dealer (but in French, obviously).

Schleger slid over the extra chips and Zerbib flipped over {A-Spades} {K-Hearts} for a rivered full house. Schleger pushed his hand slowly towards the muck, "I had a full house as well...Nice hand sir, bet the turn, lets get it all-in then."

Adieu Adeniya? Darcourt Chip Leader

A very empty chair now remains where Martins Adetokunbo Adeniya once sat, and a quite huge stack graces the player we have listed as Guillaume Bayt Dit Darcourt - over 90,000 and most likely the level 3 (so far) chip leader. He's also in the unusual position of holding almost the entire table's supply of low denomination chips - towers of green and black decorate his chip palace, while there are about ten of each between the remaining seven players! I wasn't there long enough to find out if this is a deliberate no-change policy or the result of general pot-hoovering though.

On a complete side note, the WPT Grand Prix de Paris must be congratulated for its choice of chip coloration. Too often we hear "The 500s look just like the 25s," or "The 5,000s are the same colour as the 1,000s except with little black stripes," and they've really sorted this out here. If interested, see below for chip colors:

25 - green
100 - black
500 - orange
1000 - yellow
5000 - electric pink

Merlot For Burlot

Regis Burlot has been eliminated by [Removed:13], the former was short-stacked and put his chips in on a {K-Clubs} {3-Spades} {8-Clubs} flop with {K-Hearts} {Q-Hearts}. Guiglini was holding {A-Diamonds} {K-Spades} though and no Queen came on the {10-Hearts} turn or {3-Clubs} river.

Time to enjoy the wonderfulness of Paris...
