Sheikh Doubles

[Removed:163] doubles.

Guillaume Darcourt raised in early position, Manuel Bevand made the call in late position, and [Removed:163] moved all in for a little more than 6,000 from the blinds. Darcourt released his hand rather quickly, but Bevand went into the tank.

Bevand eventually called, and Sheikh confidently tabled two black jacks. Bevand was behind with {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts}, and the board ran out {7-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{2-Spades}{4-Spades}{9-Clubs}, doubling Sheikh to more than 14,000 chips.

A Kool Flop

When we arrived at Bruno "Kool Shen" Lopes' table moments ago, he was three-handed with the board reading {7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{8-Spades}{q-Diamonds}. Shen led out for 3,100, and both of his opponents called.

The river was another seven - the {7-Clubs} - and Lopes led for 6,500. Both players quickly called, and Lopes hesitated before opening up {5-Clubs}{4-Clubs} for a flopped straight.

Both of his opponents mucked to the surprise of the table, and Lopes dragged in the pot.

Vanessa Selbst picks up a pot.
Vanessa Selbst picks up a pot.

After taking down a four-bet pot against Nicolas Cardyn, Vanessa Selbst found herself in a three-way, raised pot with the board reading {j-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}. Selbst led out for 500 from the small blind, and only one player made the call.

The turn was the {k-Diamonds}, and Selbst led again - this time for 1,100. The player called.

Both players checked when the {8-Clubs} completed the board, and Selbst tabled {a-Clubs}{q-Spades} for Broadway. Her opponent mucked, and Selbst raked in the pot.
