Nitsche No More

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
Dominik Nitsche
Dominik Nitsche

Dominik Nitsche just walked up the steps to make his way out of the poker room, and he explained to us how he got knocked out.

Joep van den Bijgaart raised before the flop and Senh Ung called after which Nitsche three-bet to 8,000 holding {A-}{Q-}. Van den Bijgaart made it 18,000, Ung folded and Nitsche moved all in for around 36,000 chips.

Van den Bijgaart called holding pocket tens, and his hand held up.

"It's a shame I can't re-enter anymore," Nitsche laughed as he left the premises.

Brader Knocked Down

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

As we approached Felix Stephensen's table, we saw Thomas Brader playing the short stack. The young grinder told us of a hand he lost not too long ago.

Brader opened {J-}{J-} under the gun and he picked up the cutoff, small blind and big blind to see a flop. All four of them checked on {Q-Spades}{5-Clubs}{4-Clubs} and the {9-Spades} hit the turn. Both blinds checked again. Brader bet out 6,900. Just the cutoff called, both blinds folded.

The {9-Diamonds} on the river paired the board and Brader checked. The cutoff bet 12,100 and Brader called, only to find out his jacks were cracked by rivered trips with {K-Hearts}{9-Hearts}.

Refos Thriving

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

We just spotted Raoul Refos sitting behind an immense stack worth approximately 230,000. We asked him if he had doubled, and he leaned back to fill us in on one of the bigger hands he had won today.

After an open under the gun and a call, Refos squeezed holding {A-}{J-}. Both the initial raiser and the flatter made the call, and the three of them took a flop of {A-}{X-Diamonds}{X-Diamonds}. Action checked to Refos and he bet out. The player under the gun raised it up, and the two of them ended up all in.

Refos was in the lead with his top pair as his opponent had {K-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}. No diamond on the turn or river and Refos knocked out a player, and started stacking.

Aces vs. Kings; Walthaus Doubles Through Weenink

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
Jorn Walthaus
Jorn Walthaus

Jochum Weenink raised before the flop and Jorn Walthaus called after which a third player got involved from the blinds.

The flop brought out {K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{8-Spades} and Weenink bet 4,500 after the other player had checked, and Walthaus called. The player in the blinds folded and on the turn, the {A-Clubs}, both players checked.

The river was the {5-Spades} and Weenink bet enough to put Walthaus all in. Walthaus snap-called for 22,900 total and Weenink showed {K-Spades}{K-Clubs} for a set of kings. Walthaus showed {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts} for a set of aces and he doubled up.
