Steve Warburton raised to 22,000 from the cutoff and Giacomo Fundaro called from the button. Sandro Pitzanti three-bet quickly from the big blind to 85,000 and Warburton grabbed more ammunition as he slid forward 210,000.
Fundaro ran for cover but Pitzanti was not backing down just yet, as he made the call.
The flop brought out and both players checked.
On the turn the hit and Pitzanti checked to Warburton again, who bet 98,000 this time around.
Pitzanti folded quickly and Warburton raked in this massive pot.
From time to time, we give poker players a chance to read some of the mean things people tweet about them. We did the same thing at World Poker Tour Amsterdam, and here's what players like Anthony Zinno, Sorel Mizzi and Jason Wheeler had to face.
Kees van Brugge raised on the button to 24,000 and small blind Erik van den Berg moved all in for 109,000. Big blind Jason Wheeler showed interest. He asked how much it was, and then flatted. "Oh wow" Van Brugge said, only to fold after about half a minute of thinking. "Show me something good" Van Brugge laughed. And so they did.
Jason Wheeler:
Erik van den Berg:
The board ran out and Van den Berg made his exit. With Thierry's and Erik's departure, all the 'Van den Bergs' are gone now. The remaining 12 players are guaranteed €14,650 from this moment on, which means Joep van den Bijgaart is finally making a profit. He's up €1,450 now, with the prospect of much more.
Steve Warburton raised the button to 25,000 and big blind Aki Pyysing made the call. Both players checked on , so the on the turn was seen for free. Pyysing bet 30,000 and Warburton made the call. The completed the board and Pyysing bet out 35,000. Warburton raised it to 140,000 and Pyysing made the call. Warburton showed for top full house, Pyysing flashed the before mucking.
Louis Salter raised it up to 27,000 under the gun and Farid Yachou in the cutoff made the call. The button and both blinds folded and the two of them saw a flop heads up: .
Salter checked and Yachou checked behind. The hit the turn and Salter checked again. Yachou bet 50,000 and Salter check-raised all in. Yachou didn't waste any time calling all in for 239,000.
Farid Yachou:
Louis Salter:
Salter just had chopping outs, but the tens would stay in the deck. Instead the popped up and Yachou doubled.
